I do need to be certain the plug is fully inserted into the car outlet but a small blue light in the plug helps to show it is connected. The cord is about 2 1/2 feet long without extension. It is tightly coiled and sturdy. Extends easily but the advertised 9 foot length is not practical.

Very nice iPhone charger with a bonus port

I saw this device and got the bonus of being able to charge two phones at once. The packaging says it has a 9ft cord. Maybe it does, but that length isnt necessay. The cord is nicely coiled and will stretch out to 9ft maybe. I would buy again.
