The soundbar was easy to setup. The connections were easy to read on the back of the unit. Getting it to work with my Xfinity X1 remote control was fairly simple. I had to go through about five codes to find the correct one. Unfortunately, it only controls the volume. You can't turn off the sound bar with the Xfinity X1 remote control. It's a minor inconvenience, but I wish you could turn it on and off with the Xfinity X1 remote control. The sound is good and you can raise the volume to really loud with no distortion. I would recommend this.

It’s not meant for a large room but it works better than TV speakers and getting it for 37 with 20 In Bby rewards was worth it ;) Set up is easy does not come with a optical cord so that will need to be purchased, found one for less than half the price here so got the bar here and the cord somewhere else Sound from the tv to this is like night and day though as far as clarity Bluetooth is meant to pair with mobile devices works great too. Waiting for the bracket to get here tomorrow so I can mount on my full motion tv wall mount

I can certainly hear this bar. It's larger than my Samsung. I only bought it because I did not need a subwoofer. The clarity is nice. Remote is a bit clumsy, and wish it would pair with my Samsung, but no such luck. Only my Direct TV remote will control both. My TV did not have the right input, but ended up using the optic cable from my other Samsung I just bought. It said I could have used RCA input, but advised the optic was better.

Easy to set up! I had a TV with a beautiful picture but horrible sound. I was able to give the TV new life with wonderful sound quality. Excited to find out it also had bluetooth.

I purchased the Insignia 2.0-Channel Soundbar with Digital Amplifier Black NS-HSB318 during a Black Friday sales event so it was relatively low cost ($40). The soundbar complements my 32" Insignia Roku TV and is definitely a step up from the TV speakers. The soundbar has three audio modes tailored for regular TV programming, movies, and news. As a nice plus, the soundbar has Bluetooth connectivity so it can also be used as a speaker for your smartphone + favorite audio streaming service. The only downside of the soundbar (which others have mentioned in their reviews) is one has to click the ON button of the remote control ~ 13 times before the soundbar will respond. After this wakeup period the remote can turn the soundbar OFF/ON with one click. The soundbar also has its own set of control buttons so using the remote is optional; however, given the wakeup issue resides on the soundbar the problem still exists whether or not the remote is used. The soundbar includes 1 RCA x 2 cable. The soundbar has an input for an optical digital audio cable but does not include such a cable.

Bought this for our living room television which is also an Insignia brand. The sound is significantly better than the basic tv speakers and since it does not have a separate subwoofer I feel like the shared wall neighbors won't hate me. This is a good sound bar for the price especially when on sale. My only advice would be to get an optical cable. The auxiliary cable that comes with the sound bar does not allow for the best sound. You can get a really cheap one online that works well.

This soundbar is really great for the price! Sound doesn't do well on the high end but I use this bar for my turntable so it's not a huge issue since I don't play my music super loudly. It comes with a handy sheet to measure where you need to drill holes in the wall so can set it up really quickly and easily. Remote is straightforward and setup was a breeze. Highly recommend if you're looking for something to get the job done with decent sound results.

This is my second Insignia soundbar and it did not disappoint. I bought this on sale for $39.99, and at that price point, one of the best bargains to be had for an entry level soundbar. My criteria for a review is simple: Know your product and compare to other products in that price and quality range. I do not compare an entry level component to a high end component costing 10X the price. I bought this soundbar for a 32" HDTV in my bedroom. It passes with flying colors in all aspects. Setup is simple. Clarity, bass response, loudness, separation, are outstanding. It fills the room with no issues at all. The theater mode is outstanding for movies and sporting events. I use standard mode for shows with just dialog. A good assortment of inputs including optical, line in, and USB. And it's blue tooth capable. The remote is simple and user friendly. The build quality exceeded my expectations. I also use one of these soundbars for my desktop PC and it outperforms 2.0 PC speakers I bought at this price point, or above. I mean it outperforms them by far. For an entry level soundbar I think this is the best bargain out there. And on sale at $39.99 is an incredible buy for the quality of this soundbar. I highly recommend and could not be more satisfied.

Got this on deal of the day for a great price. After using for a few months I can say that its not going to fill a room with full rich sound. It does amplify the sound nicely however the lower end bass just isn't there. Overall not bad for less than $30 bucks. Would recommend for smaller living rooms or bed rooms. Not for media room or home theater.

This works great. Speakers went out on my old Vizio, and this is soo much better than the tv speakers ever were. Excellent sound, ok bass. If u want real bass, add a sub. I wish the indicator lights to show which input is active were visible from the front. You have to walk up to it to see which is active when u want to switch to bluetooth. The blue tooth works well for playing music from ur phone. Its a good product.

Pros: Inexpensive($40-50) good sound light weight multiple ways to connect to your tv (bluetooth, optical cable, aux) cons: Doesn't always respond to remote or buttons (new batteries don't do the trick, smacking the remote a few times doesn't either) sometimes the bass turns on automatically (so annoying!) it has buttons on the side to control bass/source etc, they don't always work either You will see many people complaining about the same in the reviews. I should have read the reviews but I didn't. I wish I could get rid of this sound bar and get a better one from another well known brand.

I now wish I would have bought more than one of these sound bars. I wasn't sure what the quality would be for $30 (Black Friday) but it's pretty amazing! Only drawback is I wish it had come with the optical audio cable. I tried to hook it up with the other connections but it wasn't working right for me. (Could be user error)

I’m very pleased with this speaker. With the expectation that it is the right size for my medium sized living room. It was an inexpensive upgrade from the built in tv speakers. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for the kids playroom at the same sale price. The living room is using the fiber optic cable and the playroom uses the RCA cables that it came with, no complaints with either. The sound is great. Keep in mind, without a proper subwoofer you won’t have movie theater levels but that would be expecting too much.

I bought this item during the Black Friday sale for $39. The sound quality of the insignia sound bar is great. However! The remote for the sound bar is terrible! At first, I thought the battery were low, but realized the remote is not connecting to the sound bar properly and it can take while to switch between settings 1 thru 4 I even put the remote on the sound bar to change the settings between 1 - 4 and it still doesn’t connect right away. It can be a bit frustrating at times. I don’t understand why insignia did not fix the problem. they had to know about the connection issue BUT the sound quality is very good for the price. I would have give this 5 stars, but the remote is a problem. I believe isignia should replace the remote with a better one.

It’s a great option for the price—definitely boosted my sound and was easy to install. Only issue is I now is I have to adjust volume with soundbar remote (as opposed to cable remote) and there’s no display on TV when adjusting volume. It’s easy to make TV much louder or softer, but harder to achieve slight volume increase.
