I truly wanted to LOVE this product! It has great bass, nice color changing speakers, however, no matter if wired or connected to Bluetooth the Left speaker refuses to do anything other than look pretty while changing colors. I will be returning later and just getting an RGB sound bar.

I got this Insignia 2.1 Bluetooth Lighted Speaker System and I've been playing around with it for a bit now, and honestly, for the price, I'm pretty impressed with what it brings to the table. As someone who gets to check out a fair bit of tech, I'm always on the lookout for those hidden gems that deliver good bang for your buck, and this little 3 piece setup definitely has some charm. Straight out of the box, setting it up was pretty easy, I had it connected to my phone via Bluetooth in what felt like seconds, and you can also plug it in directly, which is a nice option to have. The first thing that caught my eye, or rather my ear, was the sound quality, I mean for a system of this size and price point, the audio is surprisingly clear and well balanced. I cranked it up to see what it could do, and while it gets to a really satisfying level of loudness, I did notice just a tiny hint of distortion at the absolute max volume, so I usually keep it just a notch below 80%, and it sounds super crisp there. The subwoofer adds a decent amount of punch to the bass, it’s not going to shake your entire house, but for a desktop setup or a smaller room, it definitely makes music and videos feel more immersive. I even tried it for some video calls, and a little tip, turn the woofer down a bit for those, and it works great. The lighted speakers are a fun touch, the blue glow adds a nice ambiance without being too distracting, which I appreciate, especially when I'm working or just chilling with some tunes in the evening. It’s a compact system too, so it doesn’t hog a ton of space on my desk, which is a huge plus. Overall, I think it's a really well-balanced package for the money, easy to use, delivers on sound, has those cool lights, and doesn't break the bank. If you're looking for a straightforward speaker system that sounds good and adds a bit of flair to your setup, I'd say this one is definitely worth considering, I'm even thinking about grabbing another set for my TV because it’s just that convenient and sounds pretty good for everyday listening.

Very interesting sometimes I get a little distortion not much to really complain about if the wires not plugged in incorrectly but I didn’t know that was Bluetooth so now I’m gonna try that out

I was teetering between 4 and 5 stars. In the end I gave it five stars because they look great and the sound is pretty darn good assuming you place them properly. Let me explain. I was replacing a speaker set (by Cambridge Soundworks) that was pretty old and was beginning to fail in the right channel. Anyway, with the old speakers I put the subwoofer on the floor under my desk and I could always find a sub setting and volume setting that made the sound pretty darn good for an inexpensive set, the sub was very powerful and the speaker pointed straight out not straight down like the Insignia version. With the new Insignia set, I found that the subwoofer was not as powerful and placing it under my desk and on a carpeted floor, it was not capable of providing enough bass to really be heard well and thus the sound came out sounding like it was lacking bass entirely. When I moved the sub to my desk facing me directly and equally in between the satellite speakers the sound came through rich and full. So, with the less powerful sub, placement becomes more important. If I had a hardwood floor perhaps putting the sub under the desk would have still worked out since the sub fires straight down. Anyway, not a huge issue. I do like the lighting even though it is just a gimmick really, but my computer case has glass sides and internal lighting on the works and the fans, my mouse is lighted (both are ibuypower) as well as my keyboard (Corsair K55) so my desk can be quite a light show. I tried the bluetooth connectivity to make sure it worked and it does, was easy to pair, but I doubt I will use this feature much if at all. The build quality and performance are well worth the asking price, I'm pleased with this speaker set. Especially since I used a $50 rewards certificate to make the purchase.....:D

Some of the bad reviews here scared me, but I decided to give them a try anyway. Glad I did. I needed a decent sound set up for a monitor out in my garage. It honestly sounds about like what you would expect. Some okay computer speakers paired with a small sub woofer. But for $50, that was what exactly what I needed and sounds a million times better than having just a set of cheap computer speakers. If you want the best of the best, then I’m sure you will already be looking at something much more expensive with a bigger sub to match. But for what these are, they can’t be beat!

I wanted bluetooth so I can stream Spotify from my laptop or my phone. This system sounds great and the bluetooth works flawlessly. Really good all-around sound for this price. Good bass, and highs are crisp and clear. I have the wired puck on my desktop next to the right speaker which controls on/off of the system, volume, input selection, and has a headphone jack. The system is very well thought out and conveient. The lights are a nice extra touch. I looked at several sources....Best Buy, Amazon, Tiger Direct, MicroCenter, New Egg, and this was the most bang for the buck. I am extremely satisfied!!

I originally bought these speakers as a placeholder almost 2 years ago. They ended up working so perfectly that to this day, I am still using em. I still plan to upgrade, but BOY these speakers quality are indeed PERFECT! Clear sound, with a neat quality. And very beautiful to look at especially at night lol. I still plan to upgrade though. But not too soon still. Only issue I'd say with these speakers is the volume. Definitely not high enough. But it still gets the job done. 9 out of 10 speakers hands down.

Great quality speaker for an affordable cost, and they look great! They don't take up a lot of space for the quality of sound! Easy to connect and handy to have a volume control close incase a phone call comes in and I don't want to move through my computer settings to adjust it! The lights are fun especially in evenings and nights writing papers. The one drawback I will say is that with my computer it doesn't auto connect so I have to connect it each day, but that could be my lack of tech skill too, even still they are worth the money!
