Customers are pleased with the 2.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave's heating performance and its full-size capacity, which is suitable for family portions. The microwave is also appreciated for its quiet operation and nice build quality. While it's noted to be on the larger side, this doesn't seem to detract from its overall positive reception.

At 2.2 Cu Ft. this is definitely on the larger size for a countertop microwave. Its probably closer to the size of one that you would have mounted above your stove. I know a lot of people don’t have that option though, so this is a good way to get the same capacity without having to mount one on your wall. Its roughly 24” wide and 20” deep and about 13 ½” high. So, it will take up some counter space, but if you are someone who uses a microwave frequently, this will be a great option for you.
Out of the box the microwave feels very solid and well built. The materials don’t feel cheap or anything like that. It has a nice stainless-steel finish with a black control panel. While the stainless surface dopes resist fingerprints, I did notice the control panel can show some fingerprints.
This microwave has a bunch of preset featues for things like defrosting, popcorn, pizza, frozen vegetables, drinks, and an entire dinner plate. I found that those work fairly well, but since those can often be different in size, you will get varying success with the preset buttons.
This is a 1200 watt microwave and it has 11 different power levels, so I often find myself just entering a time and setting the power level instead of using the presets most of the time. The exception for that being the defrost setting, which I found works great on this microwave.
It has a glass turntable on the inside as well as what they call “inverter technology” which is just a fancy way of saying it delivers constant power throughout the entire cooking cycle so everything cooks nice and evenly. There is also a light inside that’s on during operation so you can monitor your food easily.
I found this microwave to work great and basically like most other microwaves. So, if you have used one before, this one should be very easy for you to use.
So, if you are in the market for a larger sized countertop microwave, you cant go wrong with this Insignia model!

Setup is really easy for this microwave, simply unbox, put the turntable in and go. What I love most about this microwave is the size, and how quiet it is in addition to how it looks. The stainless finish is nice, and the layout of the keys is intuitive and easy to understand.
Using it is simple, and it has a number of useful presets. The popcorn preset works perfectly and I like the potato setting too - both seem to cook just right. Setting the time is actually easy where some microwaves make that simple task a monumentally complicated thing to do when it shouldn't be. The interior has a nice finish that's smooth and easy to clean and the outside with the display is also smooth and easy to clean. I would say to double check the specs to make sure it'll fit if you're trying to set it under or inside a cabinet as this one is quite large. What has been most surprising is how quiet this microwave runs. Compared to an older one we have you can barely hear this one.
Overall, this is a great microwave that just works and looks good. The overall quality of this machine is good too and it feels solid.

I’ve used various microwaves from big name brands, no name ones you might find at a local electronics store to store brand. Big and small as well. This is a 2.2 cubic feet sized microwave from insignia a Bestbuy store brand. It power is 1200 watts which is a lot compared to the small sized ones that are typically 700 watts. It just means it can use more power to cook your food faster. I typically don’t use a microwave a lot but I’ll do use it for popcorn, reheating leftovers or boiling water. And this does a great job at that . With the power that it has it can cook it faster then those smaller microwaves which is great so I don’t have to wait as long. It has a bunch of different presets which I believe is around 19 and different power levels as well so if you need it to cook more slowly you can do that as well. The display is bright and easy to read as well which I’ve found other older microwaves can have that issue. It also has a lock function that helps prevent children from using it as well by accident.

Cooks Better Than My Old Expensive One!!!

I’ve only been using this Insignia 2.2 cu. ft. microwave for a few days, and I’m already impressed. It actually cooks better than the over-the-range microwave I had before, which cost a lot more from another brand. Pizza and pasta come out hot all the way through without the cold spots I used to get. Popcorn on the sensor setting popped almost every kernel without burning, and baked potatoes came out fluffy inside.
**Pros:**
* Cooks more evenly than my old, expensive over-the-range microwave
* Very roomy inside, fits large plates and dishes
* Heats food quickly and evenly
* Sensor cooking works great for popcorn and potatoes
* Stainless steel looks nice and is easy to clean
**Cons:**
* Pretty large, and my newer home has less counter space, so fitting it in has been a little difficult
* Still learning the sensor settings
* Only been using it a few days, so not sure about long-term durability
Overall, this microwave feels like a great value. It’s spacious, cooks evenly, and performs better than the pricier model I used to have. Fingers crossed it holds up well, because I didn’t have the best experience with a previous Insignia over-the-range microwave.

The Insignia 2.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Inverter Technology is an amazing microwave and as silly as it may sound, it is honestly my new favorite kitchen appliance. I have been a big fan of the Insignia brand for a long time now and this countertop microwave is another quality product on the long list of affordable and dependable products under the Insignia brand.
With 2.2 cubic feet of interior space and a large 16.54 inch glass turntable, this Insignia microwave provides more than enough space for me to cook and heat things up that I would have never even considered using inside a microwave before.
I used to only use my previous microwave to re-heat leftovers which never ended up coming out very appetizing, but that has all changed since I began using this Insignia microwave. With its 19 preset functions and ability to easily adjust the power level, this microwave offers so much more flexibility than I’m used to and I’m still learning about new ways I can use it going forward.
One of the most impressive features it has is its inverter technology. I didn’t even know what this was until I read about it and it is amazing how much of a difference it makes. Essentially what this means is the microwave uses a constant stream of power which helps cook things more evenly rather than overheating the edges of the plate. As advertised, this makes a big difference when it comes to preserving the flavor and texture of the food.
One of the other noteworthy things about this Insignia microwave is how quiet it is. Maybe I was just used to my old microwave and how loud it was but it really is much quieter than I’m used to which is a nice added bonus.
Overall, I am very impressed with the Insignia 2.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Inverter Technology and I highly recommend it!
