We have put this microwave to the test. Everyone has remarked how quiet it is. One person wasn’t sure it was actually working and had to open and poke her food just to make sure it was heating. We all laughed at that. It is also faster than our previous microwave. A 5 minute frozen meal heats in 4 minutes or slightly less. Adjust your cooking time accordingly. Cold pizza was about 45 seconds, depending upon preference. This microwave is full sized and can handle family size portions. Reheating was even too. No one reads the note on the front on how to open the microwave. I laughed as people thought it was broken. You just have to lift up slightly on the inside of the handle. After you do it once, you remember quickly. It looks nice but it is a microwave and they aren’t supposed to be stylish. The cord should be a little longer. We ended up putting it on a cart and needed to use a low outlet. It barely reached. Measure the distance to your outlet as you shouldn’t use an extension cord with a microwave. This really is a great microwave and highly recommended. It came solidly boxed too as the box was mangled during delivery and the microwave is fine.

This microwave has been great so far. It’s easy to use, heats food quickly and evenly, and has plenty of space inside for larger dishes. The stainless steel design looks nice in the kitchen, and the controls are simple and straightforward. Overall, a reliable microwave that works really well.

This is our first Insignia brand purchase and the microwave has exceeded our expectations. The cooking features offer a wide range of options and the sensor technology takes the guesswork out of heating and cooking. The faceplate design blends in perfectly with the slate color of the other kitchen appliances. Also purchased from Beat Buy.

I was searching for a large countertop microwave and found this Insignia microwave at a great Black Friday price. I read the reviews and found them to be positive. The wattage was excellent and the size was perfect for my needs. This microwave has inverter technology and a lot of preset options. It has stainless steel on the front and is easy to operate. I do suggest that anyone read the manual to get a better understanding of how the presets work. My previous microwave didn't have quick start presets so I was starting the microwave when trying to put in cook times. This microwave is very quiet which is great. Once I figured out how to use it, I have been very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it. The only thing I can't comment on is how well it will hold up but time will tell. It was a great purchase.

I love this INSIGNIA 2.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking and Inverter Technology. It is pretty quiet and have the option to disable the ending sound. Among the features I find extremely convenient would be the Auto Sensing (reheat) and the Defrost Mode(s) where you can input the weight or time. There are 2 different defrost options. It is larger so you can definitely warm a large oval player, for example. It was very reasonable compared to my previous LG 2.0 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave. It didn't offer nearly as many features. I love this one and would not hesitate to repurchase. I also recommend getting the warranty for peace of mind. I do hope you find this review helpful when searching for a great microwave at an affordable price.

We love this microwave so far. We have had it for about 1 month and we are pleasantly surprised at the reliability, size and how very quiet it is. Everything is at the perfect temp, easy to clean, and the plate is nice sturdy and huge. LOVE THIS MICROWAVE!

Awesome! Works extremely well, and easy to operate! Also great for making popcorn. I know there is an option for microwave popcorn but not all bags are the same. With saying that, the microwave is extremely quiet! Listening for the popcorn to stop popping is very easy. At first I didn’t think it was working because it was so quiet and when the microwave dinged, I grabbed my coffee cup. Well it was hot! Awesome microwave! 10 out of 10! Definitely recommend.

This microwave is large and cooks very well. It’s very quiet and easy to use. I the price was excellent and I’m really happy with it! I like the insignia brand products very much.

We needed a large microwave to replace out 15 year old Panasonic that finally died. We could not believe the cost or wait times to receive a new microwave from some of the other retailers. So far we love the size, power and how quiet it is. We are still getting use to the safety lever on the handle, mainly because our old microwave had a separate button to push to open the door.

This microwave is very quiet! You can’t hear it running. It’s powerful and large enough for a family. The setting as easy to understand. I would definitely recommend it.

It lives up to the reviews. I read reviews for days to try to decide what microwave to buy. This one fits anything, is relatively space efficient given its mammoth capacity, has the option to turn off the sound, and cooks much faster than a smaller lower power model. I love it.

I needed a new countertop microwave after my existing one suddenly popped magical smoke and stopped working a few weeks ago. While I have an over-the-range hood combo microwave/airfryer/oven thingamabob, it is too high for the short queen in my life. Hence, I needed a new microwave that matched in both size and appearance to our existing kitchen appliances. The Insignia microwave we have is a 2.2 cu ft, it's similar in capacity to the over-the-range oven, but it looks a lot bigger for some reason. The 1200W microwave (1350 input) is clad in stunning silver and black, and it matches our existing kitchen very well. Unboxing it was simple, and assembly is even more straightforward, but note that the manual is tucked all the way in the back of the microwave oven; please remove it when you put the rotating tray in. This microwave is HUGE! I didnt think it would fit on my countertop, but a quick measurement reassured me that I’d have an inch to spare on each side of my counter. Your mileage may vary, so please measure twice and verify. We use our microwaves frequently, not just for warming up food, but also for preparing everything from Rice to Ramen, and let's not forget mug meals. A stand-alone countertop microwave is a must for efficiency. While I appreciate the availability of our over-the-range microwave, which we have been using until this arrived, we generally use the counter microwave a lot more. In terms of operational efficiency, it's excellent; it warms up food fast with its 1200W of power. We love the vast, cavernous opening and large tray that can hold multiple dishes to warm up together. We also enjoy that it is very quiet; in fact, it is a little too quiet. We appreciate the ‘One Touch” express cook option, where one just needs to hit a number to make for the minutes (2 is for 2 minutes, 3 for 3 minutes, etc) - which is very convenient, and one just has to hit ‘start’ to increase it by 30 seconds. The panel reminds me of our old microwave, which finally gave up after a decade or more of service. I hope this Insignia microwave will have the same long lifespan as our previous one. Overall, a very good must buy!

Wow! I am very impressed with this microwave. I wanted something with a lot of space and this has it. I am impressed at how quiet it is. I am also impressed how well it works. An example. I love popcorn and I love butter on my popcorn. My old microwave I had to set the power down to 1 and it would take around 4 minutes to melt the butter. This microwave - has a melt setting and took 30 seconds - butter melted perfectly, no splatter. The only "down side" is the door feels flimsy and I worry about the handle latch breaking. Other than that, a great buy and I would buy it again.

Excellent size, good work, energy saving, almost silent.

This is 1st I bought bigger than 1.6 Cu ft. Inverter technology nicely implemented. Very quite as described. Only thing, the heat do not distribute evenly as described. This is the common issue of almost every budget friendly Microwave oven. I reduced one star only because of unmatched description in this regards. Otherwise It performs really well. Recommended.

This microwave help so much due to the fact that we needed one it works so well and unlike other ones it actually heats up my food hot, it helps me a lot for when I have to defrost chicken I don’t have to cut the pack in half I can just put the whole thing in there and it gets the job done. It heats up food quickly so I won’t have to worry abt it being cold on one side or too hot on the other. It’s fits my big plates or my big bowl for when I cook and I have leftover food. I recommend this microwave because it gets the job done nd like I said it helps with larger portions of food and even fits big plates,bowls,or platers. Great product
