This microwave has exceeded all my expectations. The size is just right and fit onto my counter perfectly. It’s not loud and it heats up faster than I thought it would. I liked it so much, I bought a second one for my other home.

Bigger microwave but...takes half the time. Very quiet sometimes i have to look at it because you can't hear it Overall good microwave.

So far so good. Only had it a couple of weeks but heats very well and seems to be pretty even heat. Also, a good large size. Have to say it is The Quietest microwave ever! Only issue we have is the door latch. It is a trigger type and is in the upper/top part of the handle so a little awkward, but I am sure we will get used to it.

I was skeptical of the features claimed, but needed a microwave fast, because my old one died unexpectedly. Plus it was big but the price wasn't. It does in fact cook more evenly than my old one, No burned edges and the middle is also evenly heated. It will fit a LARGE pizza. The popcorn setting leaves very few (if any) unpopped kernals. Defrost feature is excellent and even. Very intuitive keypad. Inside light is really bright and easy to clean. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to have the touch screen illuminate. I love it and am VERY happy with this microwave!

Love Insignia microwave its quieter then any microwave I've have and heats more evenly then any other and works great. Thanks Best Buy for this great microwave with the Inverter Technology!

I recently purchased the Insignia 2.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave, and it has been one of the best additions to my kitchen. The large capacity easily fits bigger dishes, casserole plates, and family-sized leftovers, making meal prep and reheating much more convenient. One of my favorite features is the inverter technology. Food heats more evenly than it did in my previous microwave, and I no longer have to deal with cold spots in the middle of my meals. The sensor cooking feature is also incredibly helpful—it takes the guesswork out of cooking and reheating by automatically adjusting the time and power level. The stainless steel finish looks modern and stylish, and it blends perfectly with the rest of my kitchen appliances. The controls are easy to use, and the microwave runs quietly while delivering powerful performance. If you’re looking for a spacious, reliable microwave with advanced features at a great value, I highly recommend this model. It has exceeded my expectations and made everyday cooking much easier. I would absolutely purchase it again and confidently give it 5 stars.

so quiet and powerful. Huge inside space without overlarge exterior. Like the pre-programmed buttons. Especially like power is really reduced! 50% means it's running 50% (not 100% half the time!)

I've had this microwave for about a month now, enough time to get a good feel for it. Here are my impressions, good and bad. Let's start with what I like. There's no denying that this microwave represents a great value. It's a large model; I'd even go so far as to call its interior cavernous. Its turntable accommodates a 13x9 inch glass baking dish with adequate clearance that you don't have to make sure it's perfectly centered to allow the platter to turn, which is one of my requirements for a microwave. It's a 1200W model, so it has enough power to boil water within a couple of minutes and handle just about any microwave task you care to throw at it. It sensor cooking and a nice array of presets: Time Cook, Time Defrost, Weight Defrost, Sensor Reheat, Melt/Soften, Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Vegetable, Beverage and Dinner Plate. Yet it cost $100 less than microwaves with similar specs from other manufacturers. Those are pretty compelling reasons to buy it. Now for what I don't like so much: First, like most sensor-equipped microwaves, the sensor functions don't work all that well. Mostly, I've used the Dinner Plate preset, which will superheat my dinner (and the plate it's on) if I let it run the full cycle. Maybe it's intended for larger dinner plates than the 9-inch one I use. Honestly, I haven't tried most of the other presets yet; I just discovered the Sensor Reheat button while writing this review! (Why this model has both a Dinner Plate button and a Sensor Reheat button I do not know. This strikes me as redundant.) Second, the turntable platter doesn't interlock satisfactorily with the motor hub when you put the platter in the oven. It interlocks well enough to turn your food without slipping, as long as nothing sticks out enough to hit the side of the oven cavity, but you'll put the platter in, take it out and put it back several times before you're satisfied that it's properly in place until you get used to it. And if anything on the platter does hit the side of the oven, or if you just put in a dish that's heavy, it will probably drag the platter off the hub. Third, and this is the main reason I'm only rating this otherwise great value 3 stars, this microwave is not particularly intuitive to use. Let's start with opening the door. Most modern microwaves either use a push panel to pop the door open, or you just grab a handle and pull. Well, if you push what looks like the push panel on this microwave, you will push the unit backward on the counter, as it's pretty lightweight, but the door will stay shut. If you grab the handle and pull, you will yank the microwave off the counter, but again, the door will stay shut. To open the door, you push a trigger inside of the handle upwards. The trigger is white so it stands out if you look at it from the side, and the manufacturer stuck a helpful label on the door to tell you how to open it, but you'll be pushing and pulling your microwave for a week or two before using the trigger becomes second nature. The label is unsightly, but for safety reasons, I'm not removing it. The control panel isn't intuitive, either. Take the Dinner Plate button, for example. When you press it, a cryptic SC-5 appears on the display, leaving you with no clue as to what to do next. (You press the Start button.) That's not so bad, but with many of the other buttons, you get a similar code - SC-1, SC-4, def2, etc. - with no indication if you're supposed to enter a weight, a quantity or something else before pressing Start. If you open the door, you'll find a quick reference guide on a sticker above the oven cavity, but it's too vague to be helpful. It's been years since I needed to read a manual to use a microwave oven, but I'm keeping the manual for this one on the shelf above it, because I need to consult it frequently to use any feature other than Dinner Plate. On every other microwave I've owned, pressing one of the number buttons by itself either does nothing (you have to press another function button like Time Cook first) or begins entering seconds for a quick full-blast zap of your food. On this model, pressing a number button without first pressing something else starts a full-blast zap in MINUTES. That's not so bad if you press 1, maybe 2, but if your plan had been for a 45-second zap, you will quick-start the oven to giving your food a 4-minute, full-power blast of microwaves. You probably don't want to do that, because at 1200W, that's enough to set many foods on fire. To get what I consider normal timed reheating functionality, be sure to press Time Cook first, then enter your time in minutes and seconds. If you don't mind the unintuitive aspects of this microwave, the price is very attractive. If you're the type of person who heads bleary-eyed to the kitchen in the morning for a quick breakfast fix, then you might be better off spending more money for a microwave that doesn't require you to re-think how you interact with microwave ovens.

Nice microwave. Seems to work well so far. Very quiet compared to our last one and there is plenty of space for oddly sized dishes. Still working out how to best defrost meat, but I think it's just a learning curve on my part.

The oven works well. I tried to cook popcorn bag on #10 power level and burned it in less than a minute. Now I use #8 power level and got good results on most frozen foods i heat up.

I like the large-capacity design, quiet operation, and rapid heat‑up performance

Much larger than I anticipated, takes up most of the counter depth. Turntable accommodates two standard size plates at a time. Even defrost is pretty powerful. Nice and quiet. (Note: I haven't had it for very long.)

Got this as a deal of the day. I was surprised at the size. I don’t care for the door latch. It’s awkward to open. You have to press a part up then pull door open. Other than that I got a good deal. There are preset buttons that make heating quick and easy

Works great. It is so quiet that sometimes I have to look to see it is actually on.

I bought this for my daughter and son in law they have 4 kids. They love it it has a large capacity which is great for their family. It's very easy to use and has a variety of functions

Much faster than our old tank. Very quiet. Manual is clear & helpful. Not used to the trigger inside the upper handle yet to open but easy to use. Measurements were spot on for placement.

With a busy household and everyone on the go. It is so convenient and fast. I like how quiet it is and how quick it can heat up my food....

We have had 3 Panasonic 2.2 cu ft microwaves over the years which we have loved. When the current one died there were none available at this time, and we needed quickly so settled on this one. Built in so needed same size. The Insignia is about 1/2" wider but we could accommodate that. So far love the oven works very well and is incredibly quiet. Two minor objections: 1. turn table only turns 3/4 turn every 10 seconds most turn one revolution. 2. When using reduced power does not display the power output. Otherwise very pleased and would buy again.
