The connection “clamps”/pieces on each side don’t have a mechanism to squeeze for it to be removed from connection. When I tried removing my cable I nearly broke it, so one must be very careful to unplug. If the manufacturer could make unplugging easier in the future, that would be great.

From my understanding, Sata cables themselves are not rated for speed. Speed's determined by the your drive speed and whether or not your controllers support SATA 3. You could probably find cheaper alternatives but if you need a cable right away, I don't see why this product shouldn't be picked up.
