The cable included with the WD drive did not have a right angle connector, so I replaced it with this one to relieve stress at the connection. It connected easily and securely. The only thing I would have liked would have been a locking mechanism to ensure connection retention, but there hasn't been a problem so far.

I noticed that some, but not all, of my sata power cables were a little thicker and pressed close to the rounded part of the right-angle end of the cable. Easily adjusted. I easily sliced off the rounded edge of the connector with a razor and it fit perfectly.
