I ordered this for my new Hard Drive and it was perfect. If you are cloning to a new HD you will need this to hook it up.

As others have mentioned the right angle side needs to be shaved off slightly to allow it to properly fit into an SSD next to the power cable. If you're handy, you can use a razor blade to shave this down (be careful, of course), or, use the straight end on the SSD and the right angle on the motherboard. Whatever you decide, this cable will work, just note that some modification may be required.

good cable for a sata 2.0, speeds aren't as fast as a 3.0 but it's good quality

By using this cable in an upgrade to a Western Digital 250GB Blue SSD, using the old 1TB HDD as additional drive, this PC now BOOTS to Windows 10 user login screen in: ***a fraction under 6 seconds*** So happy, Super Snappy!!! I should have done this the day I bough the Desktop. And on my previous Laptop. In fact, every PC from now on will have a SSD swapped for boot drive and re-use HDD as backup. Oh, bought the same cable for my father-in-law. His PC (HP or Dell??) running Windows 8.1, about 4.5 years old, has - if I remember correctly - a 1.9GHz dual core Intel. He opted to use a different SSD manufacturer (SanDisk), unsure of speed variances between our SSDs. The upgrade got him to the log-in screen in about 10 seconds. But to put that into perspective, that is more than 1/4 the old start-up time. Can you imagine waiting 40+ seconds for your PC to BOOT???

Was the perfect length to connect the hard drive I just bought from Best Buy to my motherboard. High quality.

The cord itself works great. I'm giving it 4 stars because the one side that is a right angle doesn't fit very well with other cords. If you have a grouping of 4 ports in a square shape, you may have to sacrifice one of your ports to accommodate the angled plug. I couldn't plug that side into the SDD because the casing around the SATA plug was too wide.

This is a very well made serial ATA cable. The right angle end makes it easy to route your cable runs. It works well.

Upgraded to this SATA cable for my new SSD. I had an unused one that came with my computer but this one has more sturdy connections and the cord itself seems higher quality. There are other cheaper options you can order online but this one is worth the price especially since it's being used on an important piece of hardware on your computer. Buy it!

Mindlessly added this onto the hard drive I ordered, because I was having one failing on me. I saw this suggested and carted it immediately. I only saw angled connection, not the direction it faces. It won't fit my setup for how I need it, but I can probably find a use for it later. The angle is UP, not DOWN, like most PC builds SATA cables face.
