Needed an extra SATA cable for an second hard drive in my new build, so I borrowed one from my old computer. Then I decided to revive the old rig for my mother and forgot I took one of the cables out. Finally figured out why the optical drive wasn't working so I ran out to Best Buy and grabbed one of these. Now everything's good. Works great for what it's intended for.

I went to install a new hard drive in an older desktop machine, and only then realized that the ATA cable was missing. I could have ordered one online, but didn't want to wait for delivery. So it was off to Best Buy!
They had just what I needed, and I was up and running an hour later. The cable was more than long enough for easy hook up, and the connectors tight fitting and sound. Can't do better than that!

After a "windows 10 update" caused my system to freeze rendering it useless I decided to install a second WD 1tb drive. My first was in my desktop when I purchased it in 2011. After reinstalling all my software and Windows, I now use my new drive to "mirror" the first drive. I've had it installed for two months now and have experienced no problems. The SATA cable I used also fit perfectly and works fine.

I liked that this cable was 2ft in length and had the right angle. Most cables are only 6 in and they would not have fit. The drive it was being attached to was in a very difficult position to reach. I had to unplug three times before getting everything set. Well third time was luckily the last, the sidewall cracked off but the cable still held on so I left it alone.

SATA internal SSDs and Hard Drives don't usually come with a MBoard connector cable like the old PATA drives. There are work-arounds, such as temporarily disconnecting the CD drive, to do a drive to drive transfer, but having a spare is even better, plus you can keep the old drive connected to the MBoard's secondary drive interface.

This cable works well for my needs. I do, however, wished this company made and sold a cables that were straight as well as the right-angle made opposite of what it is. In this case, for my SSD, the connector goes up an then back down for routing to my motherboard. But, my SSD is out of sight so no one will ever know, but me.

this works great for tucking away your wires, or for a small build with tight spaces to work with.
the connections kinda snaped on, and held/hold very tight.
the color in white or glow in the dark would be ideal, and this product does not offer either, for those who are using rgb/uv-led

A necessity to resurrect a dying desktop HDD

My 9 year old desktop was throwing increasing bad sectors on its HDD, so I picked up a replacement. To clone the drive, I needed a SATA cable. This filled the bill, and if I need to clone another drive, I will have it on hand. Cheap at twenty times the price compared to losing all that data.
