These are average speakers. They are good for background music. If you are a serious listener, these are not for you.

To preface: I am writing this review based not on price, but on how this product rates among outdoor speakers. This is not an expensive speaker, so it can't be expected to compare with Klipsch, Polk, Definitive, etc. costing many times more. I am an audiophile, so I'm fairly demanding of my speakers. Having stated, it sounds surprisingly good. I have some high-end outdoor speakers, including a $500 pair of Klipsch. I actually did a side-by-side comparison of these with some Polk Atrium 45's, and these guys gave the Polks a run for their money. The Insignias have better bass response (5" woofer vs a 4"in the Polk). but the Polks win on treble and midrance. The Insignias play a but louder at a given wattage too. But both speakers sound quite good! I am using these on teh end of my house where I wanted good sound without paying a lot of money. I picked these up on sale a few days ago for $39, so I got an insane deal. Factor in price, and these would have been 5 star rated. At the regular price of $79, these are still a good buy, but there are some others that will compare. All-in-all. I am pleased with them.

Good Value, Sounds Good, Not so much for Base, but what do you expect for the size of the Speaker. I used these Weather Resistant Speakers on my Covered Screen Porch.

Perfect for our outdoor kitchen. Didn't want to spend major money for outdoor speakers. I saw these and thought Id give them a try. Got them all wired up and was very shocked at the sound. Crisp clean sound and perfectly blended. These give the major brands a run for their money. Only down side is they are not available in black. Very pleased customer.

Bought 2 pair. One pair for Shop and one pair for out side area near Shop. Great for price.

So far these speakers have been very good. I was looking for something weather resistant so we'll see how well these hold up during varying weather conditions. Set up was very easy. You just thread your speaker wire into a hole on each terminal and tighten the screws. The speaker brackets mounted very easily onto the side of my house so I can enjoy music out on my deck. Total set up time was only about 10 minutes since I already had the speaker wire in place and ready to go. My only complaint is these speakers seem a bit pricey, so hopefully they last a long time.

As many of us order online site unseen or heard in my case, I scored with the purchase of these speakers. I have home theatre JBL's and wow do these insignia's compliment them Sooo well! With hearing issue I have, they do not sound tinny at all. I have already recommended them to friends and family right after I plugged them in. Party on people!!!
