Good Adapter for Smaller Devices

I've been using Insignia's previous travel adapter for several years with no issues -- the only downside is that the older model is bulky and lacks USB-C ports. This new 20W model is significantly more compact and is great for charging your smaller devices (phone, tablet, headphones, watch, etc.) while traveling internationally.
=== PROS ===
- This 20W model is very small -- it's probably the most compact international travel adapter I've used. It will be perfect for throwing into a backpack while traveling.
- The adapter has four different plug types that should cover all your travel needs: US, Australia, Europe, and UK. Simply press and slide the button on the side of the adapter to extend the plug you need.
- There are 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port, so you'll be able to charge all of your small devices without issue. To get the full 20W charging speed, you can only charge one device at a time via the USB ports. If you plug in more than one device to the USB ports, you'll basically share the power across the devices (so if you plug in 2 devices via USB-C, they'll each get roughly 10W of power). Be sure to read the included setup guide so you know the charging output limitations.
=== CONS ===
- If you want to charge your larger devices (like a laptop) via USB-C, you'll probably have to set up to one of the more powerful Insignia models (45W or 70W). The 20W offered by this model is great for smaller devices, but it won't be your "one charger for everything" companion if you travel with laptops or other power-hungry devices.
- For some strange reason, the USB ports are on the bottom of the charger. So if this adapter is plugged into a wall with vertical power outlets, then your USB cables will point towards the ground, and it will be hard to see the USB ports. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of.
=== OVERALL ===
This is an excellent travel adapter and an excellent value. For most people, it will be exactly what they need when traveling internationally. If you travel with a ton of devices or need more charging power, you may want to look at the more powerful models.

Useful Travel Adapter 2 AC Outlets, 3 USB

TLDR: Has built-in extendable and retractable plug tips for USA, EU, AUS and UK. Allows traveling and charging devices in those large land areas with no problem.
USB-C port has 20 watts, USB-A port has 12 watts.
Also 2 US outlets ready for use.
Retracts into a square. Very useful.
The details indicate it is compatible with 13 types of outlets in the countries where the 4 different plug tips are used. I hope to travel enough to see these 13 different outlets some day!
For now, my travels to the EU European Union will be ready with this device in my luggage or carry-on bags.
It becomes a small cube when the plug tips are retracted.
It weighs almost nothing coming in at less than ⅓ of a pound which is very lightweight.
There is a LED indicator that shows when it is powered.
Note: It does not convert voltages so be aware of that when using it from the 2 US format outlets in another country that might have higher than USA standard 110-120 volts in their outlets.
I used the USB ports to charge a phone and some wireless ear phones and everything works great.
I used it here in the USA and it works fine to output power to all outlets and will be using it next April for our trip to Europe. Cannot wait.

I already own a couple of travel adapters, but I was drawn to this Insignia 20W travel adapter because of the 2 USB C sockets. With more and more electronic devices moving to use of the USB C socket instead of USB A (iPhone, for example), I believe you can never have too many USB C ports for charging. Of course, it still keeps a USB A port for your older electronic devices.
In addition to the one USB A and the two USB-C charging ports, this Insignia travel adapter has:
- all the pin connections you need for just about any country in the world, including the standard UK Type G three-pronged rectangular plug and the Type C round pin European plug, as well as straight pins for the US which can bend to become an Australian Type I plug, as well as the female sockets for all these plugs.
All are fused and there are instructions for how to change the fuse.
I like that it is extremely lightweight, yet sturdy and appears to be well-built.
In summary, I am glad I have this new travel adapter and I recommend it to anyone who needs to plug in electronic devises with US prongs into foreign outlets while travling - just be conscious that it is a prong adapter, not an electricity converter.
The square shape makes it easy to pack.

Nice compact all in 1 travel plug adapter

Nice and compact travel adapter. Has 2 USB C ports, 1 USB A port, 1 multi socket (including 110 US), and an extra US 110 socket on the side. It has multi select levers on the side to push out the right plug for EU, USA/AUS, and UK. The USA/AUS blades you manually tilt (AUS) or straighten (USA).
It has a small white light on top by the USB ports to verify that it’s on a receiving power. Note that this 20W model is only good for up to 2400W at 240V and 1000W at 100V so check your appliance/device before plugging in.
It has a swappable overcurrent protection fuse if you over do it and comes with an extra fuse so you can replace it on the fly if needed while traveling.
Just got back from a trip to Amsterdam and it worked fine in the deeper EU Type F sockets.
Note that this is not a voltage converter, but simply an adapter. Most USB type devices can handle either 110/240V, but check your specific device before plugging in to be sure.
Easy to use and worked great for recharging our tablets, phones, USB batteries, etc. while traveling abroad.

A Compact and Useful Travel Charger

The Insignia 20W travel power adapter will surely get some use on my upcoming trip overseas this year. I like that the unit is so compact and lightweight in a small cube shape that I can simply throw it in my backpack or carry-on. All the adapter prongs are contained in the adapter. Simply slide out the appropriate prong for the country or region. There are three tabbed sliders for EU, USA/AUS, and UK. There are two usb-c ports, one usb-a port, one two prong USA/JP socket, and a multi-prong socket for the different types of sockets you are likely to encounter in different countries and regions of the world. The charger’s maximum power delivery output is 20W using a single usb-c port, 5V/3amp, 9V/2.22amp, and 15W at 5V/3amp using a single usb-c. When using multiple ports, the total power is 5V/3amp, and shared among the usb-c1,c2, and usb-a ports. Keep in mind that this adapter does not convert voltages. Finally, I like that Insignia includes an extra fuse in the adapter. I highly recommend this charger for international travel.

For a long time, I use Insignia 12W Travel Adapter (sku 6350838) oversea which works fine. I bought this Insignia 20W Travel Adapter (sku 6625800) as a backup in case if I lose my original adapter. This newer adapter has 2 USB-C port in addition to 1 USB port. This 20W adapter is smaller than my original 12W adapter and it works just as well. One suggestion I have for Insignia - Use brighter white characters (instead of barely readable white characters) printed on the adapter - easier to read that way!!! In any case, I like and recommend this adapter.

This is a nice versatile adapter which has the common adaptors for EU, Australia and United Kingdom outlets, plus 2 USB-C outlets and 1 USB outlet. Had to get a new one after leaving my adapter in an outlet in Ireland.

bought this for my first trip to europe, so i wasn't sure it was exactly what i wanted/needed, but it worked perfectly! i was worried that the the low wattage meant it would be slow charging my devices, but it really worked well. we were able to plug multiple devices in at once, and it worked in various outlet types in all the countries i visited (italy, switzerland, germany).
