I then used that new USB Cable to find a AC Adapter, thankfully this model was also on sale.

It is certain that it works better than the original chargers lately, due to Apple's updated phone design (and possibly the iOS) usually. However, I found that i have to basically close all apps and put the phone in airplane mode to get the quickest charge out of it. If I have to plug it into a device with the regular USB, and use an adapter, it is really slow.
