Very good sound for price and easy to use. Just a little longer speaker wire would make it better.

Very happy with these, they have nice bass response & get decently loud for a bedroom. The knob controls feel great & overall build quality on these is solid.

Bought these to go with a turntable for my oldest daughter for Christmas.
I did buy these as an open box, however, all parts were included. Only the remote needs a new battery.
Sound quality is really good, I'm impressed.
Vinyl sound is good through the analog inputs (older Technics TT with the red/white cable. I did have to add a preamp between them.), and so is Bluetooth audio. She has her TV connected from the TV's headphone jack out to the AUX 3.5 jack input for better TV sound.
Switching between inputs is done by remote or pushing the volume button on the side panel of the main speaker.
This is a Bluetooth speaker, however, the biggest complaint I see is that it has a wire connecting the 2 speakers. One is the powered master unit (the Right channel), with the Bluetooth receiver in it and all the connections and controls, the other is the non-powered, Left channel satellite speaker. The only connection to this is the wires from the main. If it's too short, you can just run longer wires between them.
Handles mid bass to high frequencies nicely, and are fine on their own, but a subwoofer would fill out the sound nicely. And there is a subwoofer output RCA jack.
They are somewhat long from front to rear and the connections aren't recessed much, so there is no easy way to wall mount them, unfortunately. And I'd recommend at least a 12" deep shelf.
Well worth the money.

Bigger and heavier than I thought they would be (a good thing). Easy to set up but need to keep your eye on the small remote. The plastic wiring input on one of the speakers fell out of place, spring and all, and I had to reconstruct it. Not a hard thing, but it cheapened the experience for me a bit. Overall, good sound and quality, and was able to nab it during a pre-Black Friday sale.

Well balanced robust and clear sound. Easy to use with aux input, stereo, or Bluetooth capability. Bass and treble adjustments make for easy adjusting to your sound pleasure and volume is very good on these speakers. Speakers have a good weight to them and components are very well-built. For shelf speakers I am very impressed with the quality and sound.

These are flexible little speakers. They sound great, for the price of course, with a surprising amount of bass. But the mids and highs are pretty decent too. I was unable to find another speaker in this price range/performance with a sub-out connection. Utilize the sub-out connection and these quickly punch above their weight due to handing off bass duty to a subwoofer. I paired them with Dayton Audio Sub-800, it’s a potent little 8” that’s also under $100!! I used the aux cord to connect to a bedroom TV for great sounding shows and movies. Near field Bluetooth works like a charm and the remote lets you select inputs, almost like a very simplistic receiver of sorts. By themselves or paired with a sub, you would be hard pressed to find better sounding speakers, for the price!

I've been very impressed! I knew nothing about stereos when I bought these, and feared they would sound tinny or small because of their size. But the sound is rich and complex and full-bodied, nice bass ability, and reasonable price. They sound like the big 3 foot high speakers of my college days, yet fit discreetly on the shelf. Falling in love with Jim Croce and the Doobie brothers all over again. : )

I was looking for a set of inexpensive Bluetooth speakers that would have a better sound than the all-in-one units, which all sound muddy. These were not only less expensive than the best of those options but connect via cable to any legacy stereo equipment. Toggling between devices is easy with the included remote. I even bought a second pair for my son for Christmas. He was thrilled too!

Excellent Powered Speakers w/Connectivity

Sound: Is great fills up my bedroom and small living room with livid sound. The bass and treble controls allows you to choose the sound you like.
Connectivity: I use this speaker with a Chromecast Audio and it is a perfect match. The sound is superior to Bluetooth, no questions. You shouldn't test or review a speaker based on the sound of Bluetooth connections! The speakers have a powered USB connections that can power the Chromecast Audio or your phone. It is not used for music playback. Has a sub out rca connection to connect a powered subwoofer which I have done but it really doesn't need it unless you want to fill out a room.
Cons: speaker can go on "standby" but will not turn on if a source is connected and playing. The remote is small and will get be eaten by the couch or the cracks of wherever you place it.
Overall, this speaker is great.

Fantastic Bookshelf Speakers for Den/Bedroom

I bought the speakers for a cozy upstairs den/office and they deliver fantastic sound, regardless of the mode -- RCA, Bluetooth, et al. Good, deep bass, though not overbearing. The controls on both the remote and active speaker are responsive and offer a wide range of settings to optimize the room's acoustics. I'm lovin' 'em even better because they are just the right size, too.

After researching a simple two channel audio set up for my study, including micro systems, stereo receivers, and integrated amps, I skeptically purchased these speakers, and I’m glad I did.
Most importantly the audio for a speaker of this price point is outstanding. I own a high end sytem, including Aerial Acoustics speakers, and while these can’t match those, they sound really great. They’re a bit bright, favoring the high end of the frequency spectrum, but I wouldn’t expect anything different from a two-way bookshelf speaker.
The available features are impressive, especially at this price. The Bluetooth connection is stable and sounds good with streaming music from my iPhone. The power is adequate to drive both speakers with no discernible drop off at higher volumes. The included remote enables users to skip forward/back and play/pause without having to grab the phone/tablet. Finally, the inclusion of a set of RCA inputs AND a dedicated subwoofer output is surprising and appreciated.
If you’re looking for well made, feature packed, great sounding speakers that help avoid the added expense of a receiver or integrated amp, give these speakers an audition - I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. And, as with any speaker, remember to break them in before cranking the volume.

I bought these to hook up to my Audiotechnica turntable to listen to my vinyl. They work well, the volume is a bit weaker than I had hoped through the aux input but it still is a good set. When connected via Bluetooth the volume is much louder and the sound is awesome. For small bookshelf speakers they fill my living room and provide good bass.

Speakers work well, but leave some to be desired as far as volume goes. Great for a smaller space, like a bedroom. Ended up gifting these to a friend who uses them in a studio apartment with great results. The bass actually knocked something off a shelf in her bathroom.

The speakers are small but have a clear sound. They are not Bose however for the size and price they are pretty good. These are also Bluetooth so you can play music on your tablet or phone. The speakers are easy to plug to a stereo or just use with bluetooth. I got these at a black Friday price.

These powered speakers are more than worth it. I use them with a chromecast and a tripp lite hdmi audio extractor which provides excellent sound while watching netflix, etc. I had tried using these from the headphone jack on the tv but the quality of sound was awful. Using the hdmi audio extractor provides nice clean line level audio which these speakers do a great job of amplifying. My only criticism really is that the satellite speaker (the one that isnt powered) has really cheesy jacks (spring clips) for the speaker wire that no matter how much I fiddle with, they simply don't like to stay locked onto the speaker wire and in fact pop out. Oddly the speaker wire connection on the powered speaker uses a different spring clamp which works well. I would replace the connectors if I hadn't spent a few bucks and bought the warranty in case they blew or something, but they are working perfectly so far no issues. Remote works well and simply. Have not used the bluetooth. Volume maxes at a predefined setting which, with normal line level input, is more than adequate for my needs. All in All very happy, they do sound just fine.

Fantastic sound, great for an apartment. I was interested in Sonos, they are awesome WiFi based, oontz angle speakers can be paired for stereo as well. I was happy I went with these, they have Bluetooth, aux and RCA inputs. I connected my TV, Computer and my phone to the same speakers for $100. The cool part is they come with a little remote that switches input and controls power/Volume. Cant beat that! Tonal qualities are far beyond what you would expect for cheap priced speakers, they have separate tone and volume controls. They aren't for an audiophile by any means but if you listen to a car stereo or Bluetooth headphones, you will be beyond thrilled.

These speakers are a great value with great mids and highs, and surprisingly good bass for a speaker of their size. The multiple inputs give a lot of flexibility. RCA, 3.5mm, and USB. Plus, a mono RCA output gives and option to further bump bass if desired. Handy remote too. I have found them great to have a true stereo output for my Amazon Echo Dot.
Now the one caveat. don't lose the remote. When you first power them up, or after a power outage, they will NOT turn out witihout using the remote. After than, you're fine indefinitely, or until you move them or have a power outage. By which time if the tiny remote has disappeared, you have two large paper weights. I'd have given them 5 stars for sound/cost, if not for this.

I was pleasantly surprised with quality of sound after setting up these speakers at home.
Full, rich sound, good looking set, including remote, volume, base and treble controls. Nice finish and solid weight. Tiny bluetooth single speakers out there cost more than the pair of these powered bookshelf speakers. Good job Insignia!

These speakers pack a good range of bass and treble, Having the knobs to adjust the bass and treble let you fine tune your sound. Add into that the ability to connect a device via RCA cable, aux or Bluetooth and you have a solid package. I am using them with my record player and am very pleased with the sound..
