I wasn’t really expecting much here, I figured I was just getting some meh speakers to throw on my turntable but hot diggity these actually sound really nice! I’m sure not as nice as 1000 dollar plus super sound systems but those are a grand, these are ridiculously reasonable. Simple controls, the remote has to be pretty exact as to where you’re pointing but that’s expected. Uses an audio Jack so I have it on my turntable and my tv and the Bluetooth works great. Honestly good all around speakers for general use! Love them.

Happy with the sound and bluetooth functions. Wish it had come with a slightly longer speaker wire, easy enough to get a longer one.

I just moved up to Coeur d’Alene from SoCal and had to leave some stuff behind, including my 7.2 channel receiver. Being tight on money after the move required me having to budget getting decent sound for a cheap price. These little guys have a sub output which I thought, heck yeah I can hook up my Klipsch Sub-10 to these and still rock out. These little guys hit the low notes nearly as good and put out powerful bass without needing a sub. These will definitely become my bedroom sound system once I can get me a 5.1 system built up again. If you are looking for great audio on a budget, give these powered bookshelf speakers a go!

bought these for my son who is moving into his first apartment. Small speakers with great sound. Like that they are bluetooth or direct wire compatible.

Good speakers for the price. The sound is actually pretty good, the remote for them is great to have. These were a good buy to go along with my record player.

Great sounding speakers, bluetooth is very easy to set up (NFC compatible). bass is VERY good, so is the treble. would recommend.

Great speakers for the price. Needed powered speakers for my turntable. These were priced right, good sound and also Bluetooth.

When you search for Bluetooth speakers almost all results are small, single speakers that may technically be stereo, but true stereo sound from them is essentially nonexistent. Not so with the Insignia Powered Bookshelf Speakers which are two separate speakers that can produce true stereo sound. Speaking of that sound, it is very good for their size. Bass limitations can be overcome by adding a powered subwoofer to them and hooking it up to the subwoofer out connection. It even has a remote control to change input source and volume from them. For the $80 price I paid, they are a true stereo bargain.

Versatile input with Bluetooth, headphone jack, and RCA inputs. Has a sub woofer out RCA jack if needed. Sound is good and seems to improve after a few hours break in. However, on and off is a two-step process, done via a switch on the speaker and a button on the remote, which is not clearly explained in the minimal manual. If you lose the small remote, then you'll have difficulty working the speakers. Performs well as computer speakers for YouTube music, movies, etc. Not top of the line, but still pretty good.

Let me preface this review by saying when I bought them I got them for a really, really good deal - $65. Also, these speakers do provide an excellent set of input/connection options - aux, RCA, bluetooth (and an output for sub, which I did not try). For the cost, they're really tough to beat. They're also not overly heavy, so the portability here is a nice feature. Where they fell just a tad short for me: 1) Overall volume. I was planning on using these in my garage and more importantly, for backyard projector/movie set-up. I tried them in multiple places (in the garage, in my basement workshop, and in a couple different spots in my backyard) and they were just so-so on the volume. I am an avid audio fella, and have mid to high-end audio equipment throughout my home. I don't share this to brag, but to let you know I understand when and where one needs to have enough juice to pack a punch in his/her technology, if you follow. I also am completely aware all of our ears are different. What sounds good to me may not to you, what's loud enough for me may be over or underwhelming to you. When I used these in a few outdoor locations, and knowing my neighborhood, where my home exists, and what noise I am competing with, these weren't optimal for how I wanted to use them. 2) Bass. Right there with the volume, the bass was just so-so. On these speakers it is nice to have separate dials to adjust volume, bass, and treble. When I maxed out the bass (which I typically never max my bass on any device) these were just still middle of the road. Could I have allowed for a longer break-in period to help? Surely. For the terrific price I paid, I could've just turned a blind eye and kept them. I didn't feel settling was a good move here and will keep my eyes and ears open for different solutions. If you're looking for an entry-cost set of speakers to use with a turntable or simple set-up, or in a low-traffic room, or in a room with a smaller footprint, these will be a very good and cost effective win for you. I would recommend, they just weren't a fit for me in the use I intended.

I’m no audiophile, but the sound quality and bass tones are excellent. Very easy to set up and connect to via bluetooth. Picked this up for $86 after sale price and discount certificates. Definitely worth it and I probably would have picked it up at the original price. Gonna look into getting a sub for these soon.

Great sound quality, but I find the product a little finicky at times. I have them plugged into my turntable, and when I'm trying to turn it on, sometimes I have to play around with turning the sound dial up and down before it plays music.

Okay, for starters, I’m nearly 65 years old and a guy. I have stereo equipment that has lasted for almost 40 years and I like good sound. Two pairs of my older British speakers needed to be rebuilt and some day I may buy the kits and take the time to do the work to make them sound great again. As streaming music has come about and offers great sound and smaller devices, I have delved into wireless speakers and bought a Marshall model that sounds fabulous but is monaural and become my office speaker. I was researching good wireless speakers that offered stereo and found many I wanted but didn’t wish to pay the price for. I came across this set and for what seemed at a cheap price, so I bought them, knowing I could return them if they didn’t agree with me. Well, I’ve had no trouble with them and it’s nearly a year in and I’m listening to them now and though they don’t blast me out of my little house, they sound great! And the remote, although a little delicate in build continues to work very well.

Very good sound for price and easy to use. Just a little longer speaker wire would make it better.

For the price these speakers are excellent! The sound is good, the connections were easy and the remote control is terrific.

Insignia is one of those brands that you tend to not think of first, but when you get one of their products you can't help but be impressed. These speakers provide great sound reproduction. I have mine about 8 or so feet away from my AT120BT turntable and have never had an issue. Set up with the turntable was easy. The NFC tag at the top of the right speaker is also a great way to quickly connect to your phone.

I bought one of those large “party boxes” and a similar priced bluetooth speaker and neither come close the the sound of these speakers! I use them in a 2 bay oil change garage and they have hood bass and sound everywhere in the building. When no cars they sometimes get cranked up and these speakers really jam.

I was looking for something simple for an elderly person to operate and I wanted it to sounded decent. This pair of speakers were perfect. They were easy to setup and were plug-and-play ready. I like that I don't have to access the speakers constantly to make adjustments. They look great on the bookshelves where I placed them.

Great sound quality! Bluetooth capable and able to hookup to traditional turntable. Good size for moderately sized bedroom.
