With today’s changing climate and ongoing uncertainty, many households are intentionally building a food reserve to stay prepared for more challenging times. That reality directly influenced my decision to purchase this freezer. I already own a freezer chest, and this unit was explicitly selected to expand my storage capacity while fitting seamlessly into my existing setup. I intentionally chose a slightly smaller model so that, when positioned correctly, it functions and looks like a larger unit without taking up unnecessary space. The sizing is spot-on, and the overall structure feels solid and well-built—precisely what you want for long-term use. Both freezers are housed in my garage, so the built-in interior light is a significant value-add. It makes access easy and efficient, especially in low-light conditions. Frankly, I wish I had made this purchase sooner. The price point was outstanding for the quality delivered. This was a wise, practical investment, and Best Buy delivered on value, functionality, and reliability. Thank you, Best Buy.

Works well, keeps consistent temps below zero. It is pretty quiet, although when the compressor kicks on you can hear it if standing right next to it. A lot more space in just 3.5 cu ft than you might think.

Nice little freezer

I have the bigger version (one size up) of this freezer. We use it to store a 1/4 side of beef when we purchase our beef once a year. Fire it perfectly. Anyway, recently my son needed a little freezer for his apartment since the freezer on his refrigerator was freezer burning everything when set at the least cool temp (meaning the warmest a freezer can be), this was the perfect size for his apartment. Great size that will be easy peasey to move when he moves on from this apartment. So far, it seems to working well, he's only had it less than a month, but no complaints. Reasonably priced.

I absolutely love this little freezer! It feets perfectly in our kitchen. It gave me just the amount of additional freezer space that i needed for items i use less frequently. It is light weight so i was able to puck it up my self being a 5'3" female. I definetly recommend the freezer and buying it at Best Buy as the service was really great!

Great freezer

I have been looking for a chest freezer for over a year and have been hesitant to buy as it seems most of the reviews for any brand chest freezer are one star about the freezer being damaged. I finally chose the Insignia and decided to take my chances and decided to pick it up instead of delivery. The box has no damage and I let it sit for a week before taking out of the box. Upon inspecting the freezer, thankfully there is no damage at all anywhere and it's working great. I put it in my kitchen. But, there is some frost that has accumulated wherever there isn't food. Don't know why as the lid closes completely. If you can, try to pick it up yourself instead of delivery.

Just right, it keeps the temperature perfect, and the size is excellent for my apartment. That's why I have ordered two of them. Although they want the same style I thought I had got the same style but by accident one is different from the other but that's okay I like them both. What does it sell for what is it cost you and there's enough room for my extra food that I can freeze at my refrigerator freezer won't hold. So thank you.

Good size and runs well, doesn’t make a whole lot of noise. Fits in my small space and doesn’t take up too much space. I live by myself and eat a decent amount of precooked meals so it helps a lot. I’m pretty sensitive to noise and it doesn’t add too terribly to the stimulation. Got it while it was on sale and I think it’s worth the sale price.

Perfect size for any extras that don’t fit in the freezer. Works very well, the only complaint is the placement of the temperature knob. My young son keeps turning the temperature down without my knowledge so things start going bad before I can change it back
