the first one I received did not make ice after following the steps in the set up I called the number in the paper work and it took 2 days to get the issue resolved and they send out another ice maker right away and also sent me a return label for the defective unit to be returned the new one worked as I had expected. I had a old Magic Chief Ice maker that worked for 12 years and this was basically the same size as the one I replaced hopefully works and last as long as the old one did we also carry a ice maker in the RV

This ice maker is super fast and has 3 sizes of ice to chose from. It looks nice and is so easy to use. I run it once a day making ice to fill our ice container in our refrigerator. It holds 1/2 gallon of water to make the ice. When the tray is full you then remove the ice to your freezer and continue making ice as needed. This appliance is a very smart buy. Best Buy is the best place to buy this due to their warranty.

Awesome ice maker! Easy to clean and set up. Quiet. Nice size cubes. Makes more than enough for four adults to use throughout the day, even when filling only at half capacity. After the newer refrigerator's ice maker went out (a certain brand that is notorious for terrible ice and water dispensers) we realized this was the cheapest way to go rather than repeatedly fixing the other. Very happy worth this purchase!

The Ice maker was good for almost 2 years, but it stopped working, I was reimbursed since it was within the 24 month total tech protection plan. The ice maker served me well when prepping ice for parties and camping trips and I can definitely recommend it for that, especially if you have a My Best Buy Total Plan. Cleaning it can be a bit of a challenge, but it does not need to be done very often.

The built-in ice maker in my freezer is too slow for the amount of ice we use. I been purchasing portable ice makers for years and they never last.more than 2 years. Never. I found this one, on sale, at Best Buy, and it was in stock. Checked the specs and it larger than the ones I been buying, and now that we been using it, can see that it makes larger cubes, faster, and quieter. This one is great, and hopefully it will last longer than 2 years!

Love my ice maker. I returned a larger one for this one and it is perfect. It makes a lot of ice and is much easier to move around if needed.

I bought a new fridge 4 years ago, and had to have the repairman come twice, to the tune of several hundred dollars each time. Then the ice maker broke down again. A friend told me about the portable ice makers. Jumped on the net, googled for ice makers and began to research, despite being sceptical. Found Bestbuy to offer the best deal, placed the order, and recieved it quickly. Set it up, still sceptical, got it started. Before I knew it, I had ICE CUBES!!! NO MUSS, NO FUSS, NO BOTHER! 3 friends witnessed the whole process, enjoyed iced tea, went home and ordered theirs! I guess you can tell I am completely satisfied, and no more hundreds of dollars just to get ice!

We purchased this to use in the RV and it has saved us numerous trips to get ice while camping. Easy to use. Efficient ice making speed.

This machine works well putting out seven ice cubes about every eight minutes. The size of the large cubes is nearly perfect. They are white with a hole, but that is not a problem. The only reason I haven't rated it excellent is the fact that the cubes come out wet and when put in a bag in the freezer, they stick together. It's easy to break them apart simply by dropping the bag on a hard surface. This sure beats making ice in trays.

love this ice maker i never i have to buy ice again for me and my wife since are refrigerator does not have a ice maker love how it is makes ice in 3 sizes SML i just pour water set and forget back when tray is full then i pour ice into my tray in freezer awesome buy here you cannot go wrong i love the three different sizes of ice it make and it runs quite

Not ice, ice, maybe? :-) I bought this because I drink a LOT of iced tea. I mean a lot as in gallons a day. since buying this I now have a nigh on unlimited supply of ice for my iced tea! It makes ice and makes it easy and FAST! i highly recommend this unit to anyone that likes cold beverages. I NEVER drink hot liquids unless it is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally cold outside and I am going outside. I also drink iced coffee. And juice. And...Well you get the idea. Now get the machine that makes it easy. The Insignia 33 lb. Portable Ice Maker! Highly recommended by a man that literally can drink gallons of iced tea a day. No brag...Just fact! Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

This little guy is a beast. Bought this to replace a 24lb machine that stopped working on me. Could not be happier with the purchase. The added capacity is great and it’s much quieter than my old one. Has 3 sizes which is nice but I keep switching to the large size. They don’t melt easily.

Really good product easy to use and to clean. It takes a while to get the first set of ice but after that it gets faster.

I’m quite impressed with this ice machine so far. It makes ice fairly quickly and shuts off when it’s full. You can put it in the freezer and accumulate quite a bit. As long as you are setting appropriate expectations you won’t be disappointed. I did notice another review about the plastic taste. I just ran about a half full tank of water through the process and that disappeared quickly for me.

This thing works like a champ. My fridge does not have an ice machine. But that's ok because this little guy cranks out the ice on demand. The large ice cube setting is perfect. Not to big nor too small. All in all this has been a great addition to our kitchen. Plus it being portable is a plus.

I like the Ice Maker and use it every 3 or 4 days to fill my freezer with ice. I've never had one before and this exceeded what I thought a portable Ice Maker can do. Holds a bit over 1 gallon of water to turn into ice. It stops/pauses when out of water and keeps ice frozen. It does get full of ice before running out of water, simply empty ice, then it starts up again by itself.

I've had this for about 3 weeks now and it's been working great. It makes ice every 7 minutes or so. I have a refrigerator that is not making ice, so this is a big deal for my family. However, there is nothing to keep the ice frozen unless we transfer it to the freezer. Imagine doing that every 7 minutes or your ice will eventually melt.
