My wife and I were looking for a bigger tv for our oversized bedroom, and couldn't pass up the Black Friday deal we found on this one. Even though it's not a major name brand, it still has a quality picture and sound and it was very easy to setup. We are very happy we made the decision to purchase it.

I Previously had a negative opinion of insignia products. Bought this tv to use as a computer monitor. If it hadn't been for the super low black friday price, I would have bought a different brand. So far it is great, better than expected. I would now consider buying insignia again.

I bought this TV as a pre-black friday special, I must admit I was a bit skeptical about the brand name but I am very pleased with my purchase. The picture is clear, colors are bright and vivid and the preset view modes are more than adequate. The sound of the unit is awesome, and because I had them available I also hooked up a surround sound system. The unit gives you the option to play the surround sound, the TV speakers or both at the same time. This is a 1080p LED 40" television and in my opinion you can't go wrong buying it. I would definately recommend this to a friend, and I will also consider the Insignia brand in my future purchases. One other thing to note is the unit only offers two HDMI ports but for the price I paid it's not an issue for me.

This is the fourth Insignia TV I have purchased. I first had a 32" 720p, then I bought my sister a 24" 1080p, then my dad a 48" 1080p. The reason I got this was not only for the size, but the definition upgrade. It is a cheaper price than most, which usually would deter someone on an electronic, but I have read multiple sources saying that LG (a trusted brand) parts are used in Insignia TVs. I read a lot of reviews, and I have yet to have any problems with ANY of the TV's. Since I first got one, they have even improved the sound systems in them! The power cord is even removable on the newer models too. The only thing that I could complain about is a tiny high-pitch noise the TV makes for a few seconds when turning on... which really was only something I noticed and not something that bothered me. I am not a fan of smart TV's, so this is exactly what I wanted, and it is fantastic in my bedroom and I will not rid of it until a 4k TV is as affordable.

I am very happy with this TV, the picture is crisp and high resolution looks like 3 dimension the functions are easy to understand, was able to set up and install with out complication, installed my DVD player, and ear phones for my husband who is hard of hearing without problems

i needed this size TV for a particular room. The quality is really good but make sure to use the HDMI cord vs cable cord. Big improvement! Volume is perfect. Mountable and better overall appearance - sleek- when compared to bulkier tvs

I didn't want to spend a lot on a new TV but wanted a 40". I have a smaller Insignia (24") and as I was very pleased with that one, I thought the Insignia would be the perfect choice for the money. It is. It was easy to set up with my set top box and Fire TV and has enough HDMI ports for my needs.

Great basic and inexpensive TV. It doesn't do anything fancy or special, but I am more than happy with the quality for the price. I would recommend this product so long as it was priced below $200. I bought a second for my mother-in-law's vacation home for Christmas and she is pleased as well.

I PURCHASED THIS TV FOR MY MOTHER FOR HER BIRTHDAY. IT IS A PERFECT SIZE FOR HER LIVING ROOM. EXCELLENT PICTURE AND SOUND. SHE LOVES IT AND THAT IS WHAT COUNTS. GOOD PRODUCT.

This TV is just great. The sound on it is amazing! Crisp image quality, and did I mention THE SOUND? I keep having to set the volume on single digits to keep from waking my family. Great purchase for a great price. Purchased this along with the Amazon Fire stick. Great Combo!

Picture is very good, easy set up. This is my third Insignia television and have had no problems with any of them.

I bought this tv because it was on sale. It was an impulse buy. I knew nothing about the tv. I was going for a different item when I entered the store. The tv has great sound and nice picture and color. Great tv for the price. I like it a lot. Paid 229.00 for a 40 inch.

This TV had an excellent picture in the store and a very good price. It was easy to set up and is working just fine with no problems. This TV went on sale the next week after purchase and I went to the store and received a $50 credit. This kind of service is hard to beat.

I purchased this TV on a pre-Black Friday deal after I saw the add online for $159. I though this was an excellent price for being both 40" and 1080p. I got this home and I have had zero problems with this model. The picture and color quality is good (and excellent for the price point).

So far so good. Clear bright picture and loud volume. Didn't mount to wall but set up was easy. Programming with cable remote is more involved than with my bigger name brand tv and it still isn't complete so that's annoying but I'm very happy with it especially at Black Friday pricing.

My son had purchased this tv at thanksgiving time, our tv was on its last leg so we asked him what to purchase, he said he was very happy with his purchase so give it a try, we did and we are happy. The price, picture, and sound is right. Set up was a breeze.

Don't listen to any of those negative reviews. I bought this TV on a Black Friday deal and boy has it been amazing. I mainly use it for my Ps4 and Netflix and the quality is so good. This is a must get

Saw the special promo before Thanksgiving and bought it without seeing the TV in the store. It was a great buy and great gift for some. Game counsels were easy to hook up and the quality is awesome! So much so I went out and bought another one that same night.

Very happy with my choice. Definitely can not complain about quality for the price. Sure you can get a little better but you will certainly pay a lot more. No complaints with picture or sound quality.

For the price the quality is really good. I had a 32" and moving to a 40" made a big difference. Color is good. Sound is good too as they have some extra space allocated in back for the speaker enclosures. Hard to find decent sound with the thin tv's these days.
