The Insignia 40-inch TV is a solid budget option for everyday use. The picture quality is clear and bright for watching movies, shows, or streaming. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and works well in smaller rooms. The sound is average, and it’s not ideal for serious gaming or high-end visuals, but for the price, it offers great value and reliability.

My father spends a lot of time in his room with his small tv. Thought it was time upgrade. This tv is lite and way to set up. Despite the size, my 80 year old father can carry it if needed. But I did it for him. In that kind of son. Packing and set up was 10 mins and he was enjoying his new toy. Had to adjust the volume settings to find the perfect level. The factory reset levels are muffled.

It was an easy box-to-table set-up. Installation was easy. Sign-in was easy. Updates were easy. Installation of all my favorite apps was easy. It was all very simple and quite quick. The picture is amazing. The sound is okay (not great, but not the worst). For the price, this TV is outstanding, until it isn't. I read complaints and compliments about the TV before I purchased it. The most common complaint was the TV restarting on it's own. When I saw "common" what I mean is, there were several but they were floating in a sea of 5 star reviews. So, a few amongst many. None on Best Buy. I decided to make the purchase, and I'm sorry that I did. The first night, it froze. The screen pixeled, the sound repeated, then the TV restarted itself. No more problems after, until the next night. Same thing. Two nights later, same thing. It worked without problem for a couple of days, and now it's reset itself twice in this evening. I've done all the things recommend. It is up-to-date. The voltage in the outlet is correct. The only thing I haven't done is reset it to factory default (because I literally set it up less than 15 days ago). I purchased it but didn't set it up right away. I was in the process of redoing my bedroom, so it was the last thing to do. I have 2 days to return it before my return window ends. It's a shame. It's a great TV, especially for the price, but only when it isn't freezing and resting itself.

I really need a computer monitor, and decided that I HDTV might be a better, clearer option unless I decided to break the bank on a way more expensive monitor. The color on this TV pops and I get the nice clean images that I was looking for. Again, the price was right being less. than $100, and was able to sit upon my wall beautifully being light weight and all. I don't use it as a TV, so I have no idea how good the speakers are, So I have no opinion in. the review. Overall, very satisfied.

I bought this tv for $89 bucks. It replaced an old tv I had in my man shed. For $89 bucks! The picture is amazing. It hooked up to my WiFi in a few minutes and I had my apps loaded in thirty minutes. It looks Great and gives me something to watch when I’m working outside on things. Like, how could I not buy this deal! Did I say it cost $89 bucks?

Nice picture but not a lot of memory. Easy set up. It was wider than expected so didn’t fit where my previous tv of the same size did. Sound isn’t quite ans loud as my previous tv, but still decent. Overall a nice tv.

Reasonable video and audio quality but the interface is both too limited and too complicated to be considered ‘user friendly’. For example, you can only do a COMPLETE channel scan so if one station changes its PSIP you must rescan EVERYTHING. And if (like me) you live in an area with stations located in various different directions and an omnidirectional antenna won’t work, you CANNOT ‘add’ channels from different directions. Most limiting. (See photos for the ONE option for channel scan in the TV vs how real devices meant to receive broadcast signals work) At the same time, accessing menus is overly complicated for anything other than streaming ‘pay’ services — the assumption being that the only thing considered valuable are the services that charge monthly fees. Why not take a step back and remember what a TV started out as and make the over the air tuner functional FIRST and then add the other bells and whistles? Thus this is only ‘acceptable’ but a minor softwear tweak could make it excellent. Fingers crossed they will do that and I can up the ‘star’ count of this review.

Good sound and great pixels. It’s a bonus having a firetv already installed so you don’t have to get a fire stick extra. I mounted my by myself . Very light as well 10/10 purchase

Good quality television. Works well & connected with my Bluetooth Bud speakers very quickly. No problem with internet hookup either.

I love this brand. This size was great for my stand. It looks to be a tad bit longer than advertised, but thats not a bad thing. The tv quality is sharpe,but not blinding sharpe.

For the price you will be hard pressed to find a better option. The color is good, bright display with crisp enough image to read text in video games from about 20 ft away, and the sound is great for the built in speakers. I didnt need a sound bar for the TV. I got this on a black Friday deal for less than $100.

I am happy that i got this TV that i bought from Best Buy Online on thd Mobile App. I got this TV as a gift from someone who's special to me its really a nice fit the quality isn't bad i even play my ps5 slim on it and the graphics seems pretty good to me even though im not apart of the Best Buy Geek Squad!
