This adapter will suit the needs of most travelers for personal electronic devices. To power or charge a laptop, you will need to utilize the PC's power adapter into the receptical becuase 45 watts is generally not enough for a PC. And that worked as advertised. But for my phone, laptop, MP3 player, etc it worked like a charm. When utiizing the USB C1 port on the side of the device, my laptop and phone displayed "super fast chargeing" and it my devices fully charged pretty quickly. The adapter is compatible with Type A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H I, J, L, N, and O outlets which suits me just fine. Europe and Asia appear to be well covered. The QSG even states the unit is compatible in African countries such as Rwanda, Senagal, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, . There are three built in plugs which retract. when traveling. You will use one of them depending on which country you are in. There is an LED indicator on the bottom of the unit which shows if the unit is plugged in and receiving power - a nice touch. Note that when you power/charge multiple devices that the speed goes down somewhat. That is to be expected and it is disclosed in the quick setup guide. With only one port used, USB C-1 is 45W while the other ports are 5V/3A (15W). I won't detail all of the multiple port settings but as an example, if the C1 + C2/C3 are used, it is PD 20W + 5V/3A. Overall, this will meet my needs well and I am pleased to have it.

It is a little bit bulky but the good thing about it that is everything you need in one package. It also has a descent USB charger with adequate wattage. I used to have a kit that comes in a box with multiple connectors to use. Usually, I just take the adapter that I'll be using during my travel. Sometimes I need to take 2 adapters if I am going through an airport. This one is an All-in-One solution. It has everything in one place and again, it includes the USB-C and USB-A Charging ports. One convenient package. The selection of the connector type is straight forward. Just slide out the type you want. From the other side, you have a true universal plugging socket that accepts all the possible plugs. There is also a useful un-grounded USA socket on the side. I used it in my last flight and I can say that it worked well. It is indeed lighter than a power bank and allowing me to charge in the airplane and the airports I stopped by. The plastic material feels premium. Not that cheap feeling. Rated 10A with fuse (and a spare fuse)... The USB-C1 is a true PD 45W. It heats up slightly when delivering full power (clocked at 43W) but nothing to worry about. If you travel a lot, that's a good accessory to have. It would work well charging and connecting your light electronics and also your hygiene equipment. I'd keep it for traveling only.

Lets admit it we all probably have a bunch of different plug adapters laying around. For me it’s EU. Problem arises when you realize there is even more out there! Having just one plug that can cover roughly ~200 countries is very handy though you will have to share it if you’re traveling with somebody. It also takes up a good bit of space when plugged into an outlet. I mainly use this for mobile devices and it also serves as a great fast charger! My Pixel 10 Pro XL can do 45W charging and this achieves it (must use orange USB C1 port) besides that you have 2 more USB-C and USB-A ports. It’s also good enough for most laptops provided they aren’t that power hungry. It's also really good to still have the classic USB-A ports if you have older cables. My only critique is that the adapter feels a bit flimsy though there are a lot of moving parts (the plugs) so it probably has to be like that to a degree. The insignia 45W Travel Adapter is a great tool and easy recommendation for the price!

The Prefect Power Adapter for International Travel

My Insignia 45W Travel Adapter arrived just in time for me to take it with me on our trip to Northern Michigan for leaf peeping and photography. While Michigan is not an international destination, the older apartment that we stayed in had a lack of outlets to charge our phones and my camera batteries. This 45W Adapter saved me from having to find 3 additional outlets. We travel yearly to the island of Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles for scuba diving and underwater photography. Where we stay, the apartments are older and have a mix of US and European outlets that are in short supply for the number of rechargeable consumer items that we bring. Again, this lightweight, multi-pronged will save the day by allowing us to use more of the available European outlets for all of our phone, tablet, shavers, and camera battery charging needs. Previous to receiving this Insignia Travel Adapter, I had purchase one from a different brand that has about the same amount of charging ports (3 USB-C and 2 USB-B). It is only usable for US outlets and the unit is so heavy that I have to prop it up to keep it from falling out of the socket. It also does not have have 2 AC sockets that fit 2 and 3 prongs onboard, as the Insignia has. This Insignia 45W Travel Adapter is so much lighter, fits outlets snuggly, and is so much more versatile and clever in design that it beats that old one by miles! If you are a traveler, then you will appreciate the utility and compact design of this unit. I highly suggest this Insignia 45W Travel Adapter for any traveller!

    Adapter Does the Work

The adapter works as intended. There is no much magic to it. It does what it says, it does the work, it has adapters depending on the location you are in (Europe, UK, etc), and if you go to around the US the adapter is not useless, you can still use it, which is helpful. It supports USB A, USB C, which is great if you only have the cable. Supports fast charging

The Ultimate All-in-One Power Solution I recently used this adapter on a trip and it is easily one of the most useful travel gadgets I own. The best part is the sheer number of ports—having 3 USB-C and 2 USB ports plus 2 AC outlets meant I could charge my phone, tablet, and watch while still plugging in a dedicated device like a camera battery charger. Fast and Reliable Charging The 45W USB-C Power Delivery is a game changer. It charged my phone just as fast as my dedicated wall block at home. I also appreciated the sturdy build quality; the retractable pins feel solid and didn't feel like they would snap off when switching between regional plug types. Things to Keep in Mind Size: It is a bit bulky compared to a standard wall plug, but since it replaces five other chargers, it actually saves space in your bag. Voltage: Remember this is an adapter, not a converter. Make sure your devices are dual-voltage before plugging into the AC outlets! Verdict: If you travel frequently with multiple electronics, this is worth every penny. It’s reliable, fast, and covers almost every country you'd visit.

This product will come in handy when I travel abroad. But this is not limited only for use abroad, this can be used locally. There are 3 usb c and 2 usb ports. Perfect for cellphones, tablets and most devices that utilizes usb ports. Now, if going abroad just slide the correct prong that matches the outlet. It's that simple and they are labeled. Just remember this is not a transformer but an adapter.

Amazing for travel and great quality. Even within domestic traveling, it's helpful to not have to bring so many bricks. Great that this has 3 USB-C ports as I had an older one that only has USB A ports. Charges phone fast and not too slow for the laptop. Highly recommend.

I used it in both the UAE and Pakistan without any issues. I plugged my iPhone directly into the USB-C port, which supports fast charging, and it charged just as quickly as it does with my original Apple adapter. My iPhone didn’t display any warnings about using a non-authentic accessory, which was a great reassurance. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable travel adapter.

These things usually come with multiple fiddly pieces that invariably get lost. If they don't do that they fall out of the wall socket or they get bent in your luggage. This thing is very solidly built and all of its bits retracts into itself so it doesn't get damaged. You also don't have to tape it to the wall or lean your suitcase against it. It is difficult to see how it can be inproved upon.

Its nice to not have to carry a travel adapter and a charger. Every bit of space counts when traveling. Lots of ports as well. Wish the 75w one wasn't double the price, but 45w will do.

We just returned from a Mediterranean cruise and took along the Insignia Travel Adapter. The ship had usable power outlets so we just used the cube for the added USB pots to charge our phones, watches, and Fitbit. On land at our hotel we actually needed to use it as an adapter as well as added USB ports. It worked GREAT. Never got hot.

I recently bought the Insignia 45W Travel Adapter and it’s quickly become one of my favorite little tech accessories. Between the two AC outlets, three USB-C ports, and two USB-A ports, I can charge pretty much everything at once without having to juggle cables or outlets. It’s so convenient not having to choose between my laptop, phone, and tablet — everything just plugs in and works. The build quality feels solid and dependable. The plugs fit snugly, the USB ports feel secure, and it doesn’t take up too much space. It’s compact enough to throw into a backpack for travel, but it still delivers enough power to handle my laptop and a few smaller devices at the same time. What I really appreciate is how much simpler it makes charging on the go. Whether I’m in a hotel room, an airport, or just working from a coffee shop, I can plug in all my devices with one adapter instead of carrying a pile of separate chargers. It’s a small thing that ends up making life a lot easier, and I’m really happy with it.

The best thing about this adapter is everything is built in. There's nothing to forget or lose. A very close second is the high wattage USB output. It's enough to charge a laptop, not at top speed, but get's the job done. It's great for cruises too since it doesn't do any surge protection. I take it everywhere now, even domestic travels for the USB functionality.
