I got this in plans to travel aboard, previously I had to buy individual adapters that just took up too much space or wasn't the right plug for the country. With the Insgnia Travel Adapter, make it more convenient to carry different adapters all in one small little package. The built in 45w charger easily charges small devices including your phone without needing an additional power supply. I really like that the prongs for all the different country power wall outlets are retractable, so they don't get caught on your clothes or other items in your bag and most importantly not poking you when you have them in your backpack or other close to body bags. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to travel abroad. Very small package and convenient to carry around. Since it also has a US plug, I use it at home as a regular charger for my phone and watches with the 2 built in USB-A and 2 USB-C chargers. Convenient - 9/10, built-in charger with USB-A and USB-C outlets. Compact - 7/10, pretty small size compared to my other adapter that took up too much space. Power - 7/10, could be higher, but this was my fault for getting a lower rated product.

I am planning on a trip to England and a few European countries and I wanted to get an updated travel adapter. I have an old one that will do 2 usb ports and I have to carry a little bag with the plug attachments to switch them put. I had it the last time I went and it worked, but then this came along. With two usb-a and three usb-c and it can adapt to charge my laptop, which is something I'm looking at having with me this time. This has the European, us, and UK adapters prongs built right in and slide out with a glide switch on the side. No more small bag or adapters to keep track of anymore. Self contained. I can easily charge my phone and wife's phones and kids phones, my warch all with one brick. I have just plugged it in here at my house in the US and it fits snuggly and all things connect and work well. The price on this is good, it’s insignia, a best buy store brand that has been good to me for many years. I still have a CRT tv from these guys I use from 20 years ago. I reccomend this item. This is my review of the Insignia 45 Watt Travel Adapter with 2 AC Outlets, 3 USB-C Ports & 2 USB Ports upon which I rate at 5 out of 5 stars. Out of the box, this device only has a quick set-up guide and no other accessories.  This product has three configuration buttons on its left side allowing you to switch between USA, Australia, and European plug configurations.  Only one configuration button may be used at any one time.  The USA and Australia configuration button is the same, but you need to turn-in the two metal prongs to allow for use in Australia.  This device may not be used in any outlet where a ground plug is required.  For AC-to-AC adapter configurations, the device does NOT voltages.  This device is made for indoor use only .   On the bottom side of the device, you will find 2 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports along with a white power indicator light.  On the right side of the device, you will find 1 AC socket and 1 USB-C port.  On the back side of the device, you will find 1 fuse holder with fuse and 1 spare fuse in its own fuse holder.  This is a great addition that I have not seen in other travel adapters. This device is rated for use with most electronic devices up to 2,400 Watts at 240 Volts and 1,000 Watts at 100 Volts.  On the DC side of this device using the USB-A and/or USB-C ports, you will need to total the wattage consumption of each device to ensure you don't go over the 45 Watt capacity of the unit. I hope you enjoyed reading my review and it aided in your purchasing decision.

Lets just start with the Input side of things, and how "adaptable" this travel adapter is. It ofcourse fits the US outlet. In the same config as US, you can hand twist the prongs to make it fit an Australian outlet. Similarly the "EU" config works with both sunken and wall flush outlets, and also in Countries like India. The fit against the wall is fine, it doesn't constantly slip off like some of the other adapters I have used before. Especially given that this is not light. It feels pretty dense, and every time I pick it up, I am reminded of Doc Ock's dialogue - the power of the sun(or a 45W brick) in the palm of my hand(s). To me the best thing about this is the number of outlets, on a recent trip I was charging my laptop - using the AC outlet, my phone - using the USB A outlet, my watch - using the USBC outlet, and another device using another USB C outlet. ALL of them at the same time. And sure I understand that just means the 45W is being split across that many devices and the chargin is dog slow. But, once you've settled into your room, you would rather have slowly charging devices all of them close to you than having to hunt for different outlets across the room, and having all of your devices spread across the room. Now, you just need 1 outlet, hopefully next to your bed, and the devices are all within arm's reach. There is a fuse and an extra fuse right in the adapter, which I haven't had to use yet. But when testing it out, be careful when you try to pry open the cover, the cap is tiny and has a tendency to fly off. And then you end up hunting for a tiny black cap all over your room. Does its job, what more do we need
