This travel plug adaptor works very well for what it does with one minor caveat that I will get to below.
I was just on a trip to Ireland, where this adaptor came in very handy. It allows you to plug any style of plug into any other, so American into continental European, American into British/Irish, British/Irish into American, Australian into European, you name it.
Keep in mind that it is not a voltage transformer, so any device that runs on, say, 120 volts, as in the U.S., has to also be able to run on 240V, which is the line voltage in Europe. This is usually the case for things like cell phone chargers, laptop computer power supplies, and that sort of thing. Whatever you want to plug in should say right on the power brick itself whether its 240V capable. If there is nothing written on the power brick, assume it's not.
This plug adaptor features both USB-2 and USB-C ports as well, so if, for example, your cell phone charging cable is USB-C at both ends, you can avoid the power brick issue completely and charge your phone directly from the USB port.
But this is where my caveat comes in. The adaptor charged my phone just fine, but it is not a fast charger. Not at all. It took more than 5 hours to charge my phone to 100% starting at about 40%. This is ok if you can, say, leave it plugged in overnight while you're asleep, but it's not so good if you're in somewhat of a hurry.
During my trip, I ended up going to a local phone store and buying a fast charger and using that during my trip. But not to worry! Because of the universal nature of this adaptor as I mentioned at the top, I can use this new Irish plug-style charger back home in the U.S. as well.
Overall, this adaptor is highly recommended for international travel.

This travel charge is convenient even if you don't travel as it has a US plug style as well. It has two regular outlets, three USB-C ports, and two USB ports, all in one little block which is pretty versatible for even a standard non-international wall-wort. I can charge my laptop, phone, and tablet at the same time, and it still feels small enough to throw in my bag. The slide mechanisms feel sturdy and have a nice "lock" when fully extended. It's not flimsy like those cheap adapters that feel like they’ll fall apart after a week.
The best part is how easy it is to use when traveling. The plug types for the US, UK, EU, and Australia all fold in, so you don’t have to carry a bunch of extra pieces. It works in over 200 countries, which makes it perfect if you travel even once or twice a year. I used it in South America (Chile) and didn’t have a single problem.
The charging speed is solid at around 45 watts total and is plenty fast for charging a phone or tablet, and it can handle a laptop just fine if that’s the only thing plugged in. If you try to run a bunch of big devices at once, it slows down the charging speeds, but that’s expected. It doesn't run too hot either unless you have every slot in use, I wouldn't do that anyway since each port would charge painfully slow. But a phone and tablet both charging over USB-C works great. I had my camera better plugged into the AC port while charging my phone overnight, both were ready to go in the morning for my days out in Chile.
For around thirty bucks, it’s a great deal. I don’t have to pack multiple chargers anymore, and it keeps everything organized when I’m on the go. It’s the kind of thing you buy once and end up using all the time — at home, at work, or on trips. If you want one simple charger that just works everywhere you should consider this adapter.

Good way to power your devices when traveling

I got this in plans to travel aboard, previously I had to buy individual adapters that just took up too much space or wasn't the right plug for the country. With the Insgnia Travel Adapter, make it more convenient to carry different adapters all in one small little package. The built in 45w charger easily charges small devices including your phone without needing an additional power supply. I really like that the prongs for all the different country power wall outlets are retractable, so they don't get caught on your clothes or other items in your bag and most importantly not poking you when you have them in your backpack or other close to body bags. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to travel abroad. Very small package and convenient to carry around.
Since it also has a US plug, I use it at home as a regular charger for my phone and watches with the 2 built in USB-A and 2 USB-C chargers.
Convenient - 9/10, built-in charger with USB-A and USB-C outlets.
Compact - 7/10, pretty small size compared to my other adapter that took up too much space.
Power - 7/10, could be higher, but this was my fault for getting a lower rated product.

I am planning on a trip to England and a few European countries and I wanted to get an updated travel adapter. I have an old one that will do 2 usb ports and I have to carry a little bag with the plug attachments to switch them put. I had it the last time I went and it worked, but then this came along. With two usb-a and three usb-c and it can adapt to charge my laptop, which is something I'm looking at having with me this time. This has the European, us, and UK adapters prongs built right in and slide out with a glide switch on the side. No more small bag or adapters to keep track of anymore. Self contained. I can easily charge my phone and wife's phones and kids phones, my warch all with one brick. I have just plugged it in here at my house in the US and it fits snuggly and all things connect and work well. The price on this is good, it’s insignia, a best buy store brand that has been good to me for many years. I still have a CRT tv from these guys I use from 20 years ago. I reccomend this item. Great 45 Watt International Travel Adaptor

This is my review of the Insignia 45 Watt Travel Adapter with 2 AC Outlets, 3 USB-C Ports & 2 USB Ports upon which I rate at 5 out of 5 stars.
Out of the box, this device only has a quick set-up guide and no other accessories. This product has three configuration buttons on its left side allowing you to switch between USA, Australia, and European plug configurations. Only one configuration button may be used at any one time. The USA and Australia configuration button is the same, but you need to turn-in the two metal prongs to allow for use in Australia. This device may not be used in any outlet where a ground plug is required. For AC-to-AC adapter configurations, the device does NOT voltages. This device is made for indoor use only .
On the bottom side of the device, you will find 2 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports along with a white power indicator light. On the right side of the device, you will find 1 AC socket and 1 USB-C port. On the back side of the device, you will find 1 fuse holder with fuse and 1 spare fuse in its own fuse holder. This is a great addition that I have not seen in other travel adapters.
This device is rated for use with most electronic devices up to 2,400 Watts at 240 Volts and 1,000 Watts at 100 Volts. On the DC side of this device using the USB-A and/or USB-C ports, you will need to total the wattage consumption of each device to ensure you don't go over the 45 Watt capacity of the unit.
I hope you enjoyed reading my review and it aided in your purchasing decision.

Lets just start with the Input side of things, and how "adaptable" this travel adapter is. It ofcourse fits the US outlet. In the same config as US, you can hand twist the prongs to make it fit an Australian outlet. Similarly the "EU" config works with both sunken and wall flush outlets, and also in Countries like India.
The fit against the wall is fine, it doesn't constantly slip off like some of the other adapters I have used before. Especially given that this is not light. It feels pretty dense, and every time I pick it up, I am reminded of Doc Ock's dialogue - the power of the sun(or a 45W brick) in the palm of my hand(s).
To me the best thing about this is the number of outlets, on a recent trip I was charging my laptop - using the AC outlet, my phone - using the USB A outlet, my watch - using the USBC outlet, and another device using another USB C outlet. ALL of them at the same time. And sure I understand that just means the 45W is being split across that many devices and the chargin is dog slow. But, once you've settled into your room, you would rather have slowly charging devices all of them close to you than having to hunt for different outlets across the room, and having all of your devices spread across the room. Now, you just need 1 outlet, hopefully next to your bed, and the devices are all within arm's reach.
There is a fuse and an extra fuse right in the adapter, which I haven't had to use yet. But when testing it out, be careful when you try to pry open the cover, the cap is tiny and has a tendency to fly off. And then you end up hunting for a tiny black cap all over your room.
Does its job, what more do we need
