This charger is handy, not only for the multiple ports, but also for the cord that allows you to move the chargers away from the plugin. There is a downside. It has a high amp output with one device, but that gets cut down each time you add a device. The price is also a little high, but low price chargers are usually junk.

This well designed charger is better than any other I've previously purchased. First, it provides full 8 A of charging capacity, Second, it has a charging port on the lighter plug itself, so you can swap it in to replace an existing charger without rerouting all your wiring. Third, it's very compact. And finally, it has a handy clip on the back so that you can clip it to a seat pocket or other convenient place. It's been very rugged so far, after a few weeks of frequent use.

While traveling I needed extra ports to plug in my phone, my tablet, passengers phone, and my GPS - this product satisfied all my needs and was so convenient. I really liked the clip on the back that I could use to put the unit on my dashboard at eye level. It made it easier to pull and unplug without trying to fumble with the cord and the unit while driving. This product charged fast and worked great on my trip.

Works great. Charges multiple devices tablets and iphones at same time. Also a very fast charger. The extra length of cord makes it easier for back seat passengers aka kids charge there phones so your long distance road trips are quiet and no lousy noisey whiney butt back seat kids.

I brought this because I needed more outlets in my vehicle. This has been a great product because we can charge all our devices at the same time, thus cutting down on the amount of time it takes to get back to what we really like doing on long car trips......playing with our devices!

This charger is so convenient when needing to charge multiple devices at one time. I used it for the people in the back seat since it had a long cord/reach. I definitely recommend it!

Worked well on our vacation. Our car has three row seating and we used it for the back two rows. It kept our kids devices charged which made for a much easier road trip.

This was a surprise find at my local Best Buy. I was looking for a double USB port car charger. When I found this five port solution, I decided to give it a try. Now that I have so many ports, I'll never go back to a dual port solution again. I can keep my phone, tablet, portable battery backup, dash cam, and my spouse's phone charged simultaneously! It also fixed the trouble I was having with the ackward USB port placement on my vehicle and closing the center console while in use. Thanks, Insignia, for making an innovative solution to a common automotive power problem!

This is a great car charger especially for trips where you have at least three people traveling. I can charge my iPad along with phones.

Bought this charger to use on our trip to Florida. We had 3 people traveling and were able to keep all devices charged. Everyone was happy!

I only have one cigarette lighter in my car. I have two phones, a Dash Cam and an earpiece that I need to charge on the daily. This charger allows me to charge all 4 items at the same time and I don't have to pick and choose which one might get higher priority over the other. I recommend getting a splitter, too, just in case any of your devices does not have the micro USB port. This is a must have for anyone that works out of their vehicle on a daily basis!

It seems like you never have enough charging ports on a road trip. This solved that problem. Works great.

Great for kids plugged in the back seat. It tucks in and stats hidden. Wonderful for charging multiples.

Great product, only wish it had more ports! I came across this magical device prior to a road trip with the kids and wife. I thought this is ridiculous, how many devices are required for a road trip...well five is not enough apparently. Once, the kids had their iPads and phones plugged in I was left battling my wife for the car USB port. It got pretty tense for a while as no one wanted to be low on charge because that is when the apocalypse will surely strike. So back to Bestbuy I went to see if they had one with more ports. No such luck. I did find a gas powered generator that fit nicely on the roof rack with a little duct tape and bungee cords. The noise and vibration from the running generator on the roof was only a minor annoyance on the twelve hour drive in order to have a fully charged phone! Look for my review on the gas powered generator with a list of the pros and cons to a roof rack generator and the unforeseen hazards. (Getting it on the roof, drilling holes in the minivan roof, law enforcement and multi state regulations and many, many, more things that were learned along the way.

It works well with all my devices. Easy to use and compact.

I bought this product to charge/power mutiple electronic products on long car trips. Product does the job! The long extension cord means outlet extends anywhere in back seat where kids can charge FOUR items at once. A nice feature is the usb port that's actually on the charger plug in, which means parents in front seat could charge a phone without taking a charge port from the kids. Only reason for not 5 stars is that I have only used the product for a short time, so I have mo idea how durable it is.

I love this product. I have two pre-teen children who were always fighting over who got to use the one extra charger in the car. If the kid in the backseat won the cord was always being stressed because it was pulled from the front. The long cord on this product allows an easy reach to the back and they can both charge at the same time.

Purchased two 5-port chargers, one for each car. I don't typically review a purchase until it's been in use for at least a month, because what's the point of telling the reader that it arrived on time and looks good? After two months of use, I am happy to report that the chargers still work perfectly and seem to be very durable. We have had up to three devices plugged in simultaneously, with no problems. I doubt we will ever need to use all five ports at the same time. The 5- foot cord allows for convenient placement of the charger. I used a little velcro to hold the charger in place between the front seats, but with the long cord, I can easily place the chargers in the back seat area for the convenience of my back seat drivers. Highly recommended.

So far so good. I use it for ride-sharing and this is worth the money. So far, so good. Charges my phone well and fast. Others can use it also. I just clip it to the back of my Passenger seat (the way my car is designed I have a "pocket" for putting magazines or whatever) and my customers have the option to charge their phones... if they have their USB cord that comes with their wall phone charger.
