We needed a dehumidifier to control the humidity in our living room and kitchen. Both were sitting at 70-80% with outside being 90% and raining. Using a smaller unit from other retailers, they helped with smaller rooms but did nothing for the larger rooms. The biggest issue we had was the humidity causing mildew buildup on the walls and condensation on the windows. Using this unit, it managed to get out house, the entire 1300sq ft, down to 55%, at which point it beging to struggle a bit. No more window condensation unless we're cooking and no more fresh mildew. I gave this about a month before reviewing just to see of we would have any issues snd so far we've had none. The first few days we had to empty the container 2 or 3 times. Now we're down to once every 2 days and loving thst we don't need to wipe down the walls and windows every 2 days. Absolutely a great value for the money.

Works great for my crawl space. I could tell a difference immediately. The price is good too

Works as advertised for about a year, I have purchased several of these over the last few years for a really damp basement. They run year round. After 12-18 months they start to freeze up and become ineffective. The compressor is sealed so it cannot be serviced or recharged with Freon. I always buy the bestbuy extended warranty. When they fail, bestbuy replaces, no questions asked. I continue to buy this one since it is very favorably priced. No other manufacturer performs any better in this price range.

I happened to see this on sale when looking for another item. I bought it because my other one was close to the end of it's useful life. Well, I'm telling all of you that in 45 years in the same house, with a musty basement, I have never had one work as good as this. I have it hooked up to my sump pump so I don't have to empty it. It takes so much water out of the air that my basement is smelling as fresh as upstairs. And it is by far the quietest. Great product!!

At the beginning of the HOT Humid Summer, my central air went out. Parts and new units are delayed or simply not in stock due to the on going pandemic. This Dehumidifier Totally SAVED my 3,000sq basement! The directions were OK except for the floater piece in the bucket. There was no pic or diagram showing this piece or how it should correctly be positioned in the bucket. After reading all the directions I completed setup by removing all tape and placed the cord wrap piece in the back and secured bucket closed in place. Turned the unit on and there was a code showing the bucket was full. It would not run. After some frustration I decided that the floater piece was installed backwards and upside down. I carefully had to pry it loose to get it to come out. I only used my fingers because it is plastic and I was so afraid of cracking it. I repositioned the floater piece and turned the unit on and it worked perfectly. It has worked wonderfully and has ran non stop ever since. Completely removed all moisture and my basement is now back to feeling like MY basement again. The bucket fills up every couple of hours and needs to be monitored and emptied throughout the day, but the frequency really depends on the weather and your choice of settings. This was one of THE BEST purchases I have made from Best Buy. If you are in need of something like this, this is the best bang for your buck and gets the job done! I am still waiting on a new central air unit as of this review.

Some six weeks in this unit has performed as advertised. Taking gallons and gallons of water out of the house and making the A/C work more efficiently. It does need to be emptied at least twice per day during this summer season.

I really like this dehumidifier. It does its job well. Beeps 8 times in a row and automatically shuts off when it’s full. Easy handle on the inside to grab the compartment that fills up with water. Literally plugged it in and pressed power to get it started. It’s simple and does a great job!! I’m very pleased and the air is tons better in the house!!! It does put off some hot air, beware but it does a good job so I can’t complain. You should get one!

Doing some painting in the garage during the summer in the southeast, can be very challenging with our humidity level. Purchased this dehumidifier for the sole purpose of painting in the garage, but it’s proved to be much more useful at other times as well. I wish I got it earlier in the summer. Easy to use and it does this job well.

Works for a bedroom well. Havent run into any issues with operation, but instrument panel was not properly adhered when the box was opened.

So far so good, no complaints. It is much quieter than the one it replaced. It is being used to control moister in my basement

I have two large bathrooms with showers and no bath fans, but live where it is humid in the summer. Had another smaller dehumidifier I paid more for, but then this monster was too good to pass up. It is a large machine, but no matter how humid it is and how steamy the shower, it keeps up and clears the humidity. By using these I don’t have to actually run my A/C hardly at all.

Purchases this to replace a previous generic model that died last summer and it’s working without any issues. Unit is actually more quiet than the previous 50qt dehumidifier it replaced and so far haven’t had any issues. I had the water container fill up twice even though the external hose was connected but it seems to be working fine now as I haven’t had to empty it for several weeks now. It seems like humidifiers all go bad after 2-3 years so I ended up getting the replacement plan to hopeful save myself from having to buy another unit down the road. Unfortunately the unit went on sale as soon as my return period ended which didn’t allow for a price match and would have been a much better deal. (Was on sale for $150) . I would really recommend especially if you can get the unit on sale.

Gets the job done and the large reservoir is great.

I was very disappointed with the delivery time promised vs. actual delivery time from Best Buy but quickly moved on because this humidifier does the trick! I have a very humid storage shed and the turbo settings move that humidity right away. Expect some labor emptying water from the device, but overall, that's easy and it gets the jump done well.

very quiet, easy to dump the extracted water, long enough power cord to move around easily. Just be sure to be able to point the hot air fan out of the room! I should have gotten a larger capacity unit as this one fills up in 3 hours at 90 percent humidity! It does clear out the inside bathroom after showers

I needed a dehumidifier for my basement bad and I had no idea what to get. I was lucky enough to get this on sale and it’s absolutely amazing. I’ve heard complaints it doesn’t turn off right away when it’s full but my unit beeps and then turns off right away. It’s removed so much moisture it’s insane. I absolutely recommend this dehumidifier but I wouldn’t get anything less than a 50 liter for a basement.

So far this dehumidifier is working well. It is set to keep the relative humidity percent at 55-60% and seems to be holding this level. Emptying is easy. The proof of the 5-star is durability - how long it keeps working. I hope it matches my Whirlpool 55-qt that is still working fine after four years.

I replaced a much older same size dehumidifier with this one and what a difference! My old one struggled to keep the basement below 60% humidity but within 2 hours this new one got it down to 50%. I live in a humid area so I do need to empty the bucket twice a day. The filter is right on the back and easy to snap off and clean and put back on and the display lets you know when to clean the filter.
