When shopping for a lenscap, the one thing I demand is that the product cover the lens. This one certainly fit the bill. I put it on the lens and -- BAM! -- covered. No delay, no waiting for it to warm up or anything. It just works. Then, I went out and did some light gardening, took the kids and the dog to DQ for a Hot Fudge Blizzard, ran the dog over to the ER, had the car cleaned inside and out, and returned home to find the lens still covered, much to my relief.

All I can say is you can't have enough lens caps. I purchased my camera, and lost the lens cap while the camera was strapped around my neck with the cover on and "no strap holding the lens cap". I went back to Best Buy the next day and purchased two more caps (for both lens) and two lens strap holders.

I had lost the original lens cap that came with my camera. I was looking for a cheaper alternative than the ones provided by Canon and I couldn't have asked for a better product. This product has held up great with no signs of it giving out!

This lens protector is a more secure cap. The Cannon one came off unexpected on a hill in monument Valley AZ. I was unable to pick it up. I am very pleased with the substitute lens protector that Best Buy has made as a universal cap.

Good quality for the price. It’s easier and an upgrade to the lens covers that come with the camera. How long will it be before you lose the one that comes With your camera.

The lens cap fits the 58 mm lens just fine. It could probably be better if it had the chord to stay with the lens, but it's better than the lens cap that has the push buttons on the outside of the cap, rather than in the middle.

Fits great. The only thing I would love for it to have is a way to connect it to the camera so I don’t lose it when I take it off but for the price it’s not really a big deal.

We were on a trip in Texas and the cap to my Canon zoom lens disappeared somewhere between Dallas and San Antonio. Bought this new lens cap on the road and it works just fine. It's more secure than just a push on like the Canon lens cap.
