The first person we talked to sent us to the wrong isle. Then we went to the Geek Squad. He knew exactly what we needed to connect the speakers with the new computer. I use it to connect my phone to the radio in my wife’s car (no USB or Bluetooth). It works fine. There’s nothing great about it (really, this is pretty much a commodity category) and there’s nothing bad about it. It exists. It works. I don’t regret the purchase. It’s fine.

I was not happy with the sound I was getting in the one auto we have (of several autos) that does not have Blue Tooth, and were using a cable. We thought it may be the cable. We purchased this cable from Best Buy, and it instantly gave us the quality of sound (music) that we were receiving in our autos equipped with Blue Tooth!

The cable works perfectly and allows almost any accessories to be plugged in to speakers almost anywhere. Practically everything has a 3.5mm adapter. I bought the 6ft length as most of the cables are smaller than or equal to 3ft and it's nice being able to stand up or sit comfortably without having to crouch or bend over to manipulate whatever it is you have plugged in.
