Great for the new Surface Dock 2

I have a number of new Surface Laptops in the office and the new Surface Dock 2 no longer has the mini display ports so these are needed for all new docks.

Only thing is (and this may not be related to the cable) when I leave it plugged into my iPad it seems to drain the battery when not in use. But it works perfectly otherwise. Used this on vacation at the hotel

Works Well with New Microsoft Docking Stations

Thes cables work like a charm (unlike some other brands we have tried)

I use it for charging my oneXplayer and oculus.some of these longer cables are stiff and kinda twist awkwardly when rolled up. This one not so much. I carry it in a small case and it’s great.

The video over the USB to USB connection was jittery. This cable allowed us to get the video to play smoothly.

Alternative to Apple TV

Just keep in mind it will only mirror the iPad screen and NOT work as a secondary monitor. No issues using it with the MacBook Pro.
