This microwave is perfect and is well suited our office needs. Size is compact enough to place one of our shelves. The only concern I have on this is the handle which requires you to press a button in order to open the door. Most microwave door handles are just a pull and push and because of this button feature there is a possibility of you pulling the entire microwave out of place and causing an accident. Luckily there is a label stuck to the microwave with instructions that you have to press the button in order to open the door. I left it on so colleagues will know to press the button rather than just pull it. Just looks a little bit tacky. Other than that, it is overall a good product.

Size The inside of the microwave feels compact, but the footprint of the microwave doesn't really feel compact to me. It takes up about the same amount of space on the counter as a non-compact microwave. I would encourage you to really consider what size microwave you need. It is very easy to think a microwave will be bigger than it is, but the reality is that .7 cu feet is not very big at all. My son tried to pop a bag of popcorn, but it was too big for the microwave so the turn table turned but the bag stopped moving. If you only have room for this size microwave, I'm sure you can make it work. If you have a little more room, I'd highly suggest getting a bigger microwave…or popping a smaller bag of popcorn. The good news is that there is a turntable. Some smaller microwaves don't have one, so that is a pro for this one. Opening the door When instructions have to be taped to the microwave to tell you how to open the door, it's a sign that the design is bad. Design should always be intuitive. Without that little sign directing me to the button, I never would have figured out how to open the microwave. If it helps, my 12-year-old son successfully read the sign and understood how to open the door so the instructions are effective once read. Overall, the microwave is a nice standard .7 cubic meter microwave. It has a nice black finish that would work well in most kitchens. We like to have a standard microwave on hand for hurricanes so we can plug it in as needed whenever we lose power. This will work for that purpose, but otherwise, I'd recommend this for smaller apartments, maybe college dorms, or smaller homes for retirees.

I bought this microwave to replace one used by my elderly mother in law at a senior living facility. I am reminded of when I was a little boy, and my grandmother couldn't get the "child safe" medication bottles open and she asked me as a little kid under 10 to open them for her, which I did easily. Likewise, the trigger feature on this microwave makes it harder for a senior to open, it was difficult getting my MIL comfortable using it. Her old microwave had a "minute plus" function which was big and easy to use, now it is impossible to find that feature anywhere. This has a 30sec plus function on the start button, much harder to use for an older person. I bought it because we needed it. But I don't like it.

Good Product works well small it doesn’t take up too much space good for dorms or a single person. The only reason why I rate it a four is because the door is hard to open and close. You have to slam the door to get it to close and you have to pull on it extremely hard to get it to open. That could be a problem for elderly person or someone with arthritis or disability.
