For my first time ever owning and operating my own microwave oven, the white Insignia compact model is a nice choice for me personally. Having also tried my hand in cooking on a stovetop over the past month, you know it's your cue to skidoo from kitchenry when you're setting off the fire alarm and making yourself sick to your stomach. Microwaving frozen dinners, on the other hand, has 99% of the time always come out just right with the proper directions through a well-known and trusted brand. That other time... let's just say someone needed to flesh out those improper instructions. Assembling this microwave didn't take much time or effort. Doing this all on my own, it's a project that's surely easier with someone else around but not exactly necessary. You'll need to install the turntable yourself and program the clock. Other than that, everything is fairly self-explainable. Some pre-settings for dishes such as popcorn and pizza are available, but I'm sure even those items come with guidelines to follow. Apart from having to cleanup messes made within or outside the microwave from time to time, the only bad part about it is that the rotational tray set within isn't already in a fixed position. This means that it can be easy to get dragged whilst you're attempting to remove a hot bowl of soup and thus leading to drippage whilst wrestling with the machinery.

This is a decent microwave for small spaces or light use. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much counter space, which is perfect for dorm rooms, offices, or smaller kitchens. The 0.7 cu. ft. size is enough for reheating meals or warming up drinks, but it’s not ideal for larger dishes or heavier cooking needs. The 700-watt power gets the job done, but it can take longer to heat food compared to more powerful models. The controls are straightforward and easy to use, though the lack of advanced features might not suit everyone. The black finish looks sleek and matches most decor, but the build quality feels a bit lightweight. If you’re looking for an affordable, no-frills microwave for simple tasks, this is a solid option. However, if you need something more powerful or with more capacity, you might want to consider a larger model.

Great small microwave, but will fit a full size plate and plenty of features and food settings with simple and easy setup. Overall an excellent product.

This microwave is so excellent!! very perfect!! i would recommend this microwave to anyone who’s on a budget and is looking for something very simple and easy to use. i got this for my mom on christmas day and she loved it. im very glad i bought this just in time and the shipping was very fast. ugh i love it (especially the easy handle to lift handle) its the perfect size as well for any kind of dinner plate

My kitchen is being remodeled and this little microwave has been a lifesaver. It is really cute and works wonderfully well. Installs extend the time around ten minutes more as it is not as powerful but it’s great.

This microwave is fantastic! It packs a punch in a compact design, making it perfect for any kitchen with limited space.

FYI the prdocut itself is 5 stars,I was looking for a compact micro and this fits the bill. My low star rating is re: my online purchase pickup experience. The box was SEVERELY damaged on the side, and it was the LAST white micro in the store. This should've never been put on the shelf. I had to drive to Aiea to do an exchange (took an extra 1hr+ to drive out there, wait for a problem to be fixed so they could do the exchange, and get back home). What they shoudl've done was contact me once th ey pulled the item from the shelf and noticed the damage to the box and given me the option to cancel the order or I can go to the store and p/u the damaged box. When I left the HNL store I told them I was going to Aiea right then to do an exchange. They never offered to call ahead to the store to pull the product and have it ready for a quick exchange process. It took another 20 min at the Aiea store before I left. Apparently the person who did my checkout did not close the order, so the staff in aiea couldn't pull up my order to do the exchange. The Aiea staff even commented on how badly damaged the box was! The guy helping me in Aiea was nice and they even wiped down the dirty box so I wouldn't dirty my clothes carrying the item out of the store. Aiea staff gets 5 stars.

It works well. It cooks my food efficiently. The color is also nice. The compactness of the microwave is a plus.

Great microwave. I bought it to put in my office at work. It works great for that purpose. It would also work great in a dorm or apartment.

I bought this microwave looking to replace my old one because it was slowly dying. This was an amazing choice, my biggest struggle was getting one small enough to fit the space I have, but for the price and size this one is great! I will say, it does have less power than my old microwave, for example my old one warmed a slice of pizza in 10 seconds this one probably takes 15-20 but warms it very thoroughly outside and inside.

Works as it should, its a recent purchase. It has not let me down. Its compact so dont buy oversized plates but if you do, it just means the microwave plate olwont rotate.

Bought this microwave for a small space at the office. The size is perfect and it works fairly well. Don't expect the power of a larger watt appliance, but it is effective. A plus is the safety latch feature which is perfect for the childcare setting I work in.

Good for the price the only problem I have is knowing what formula to press for regular heating because when I press any numbers on the keypad is for express heating

I loved it, it's just what I needed since I didn't have much space and the safety lock on the door guarantees safety for children, it heats up super fast, I was delighted

I like the size for one person. But you could use it for a small family too. It doesn’t occupy much space, fits great with small kitchen!

This microwave is perfect, the size is what I wanted, I love the safety button on the door because it is very safe for children, it doesn't make any noise, it is very quiet, I love it.
