I purchased this freezer due to its small form factor. I liked that it was it tall vs. wide and would fit in our space. We purchased this for freezing bulk meet and it is not our main freezer by any means. The freezer, when it worked, worked well. It froze things properly to the temperature set. The only flaw we noticed was that the door did not always close completely and we really had to push it closed to confirm a tight seal. This happened regardless of whether the freezer was full or not. Now the downside(s) - It died completely two weeks after the one year mark. I always thought that this idea of things dying right past the warranty was a funny trope, but it finally happened to me. When calling Best Buy Support to see if they could send out a tech for repair, they said they do not send out techs for freezers of this size and that it needs to exceed 10 cu.ft. Mind you, this was NOT to try and get it within warranty. We were intending to pay for service. Our only option is to haul it to a Best Buy store to have them look at it. Since we do not have a truck, at a certain point, the product becomes more expensive to repair than the product itself, so we took a look at it ourselves (a mechanical engineer and an electrical engineer). The compressor protector relay is absolutely fried; there is damage to the plastic that shows evidence of overheating, which you can see in the images. We placed this freezer in the room with plenty of margin (3" on all sides), so this absolutely should not have happened. I am also curious what kind of fire risk this posed. There also looks to be rust, but I have no idea how this would have been exposed to any kind of moisture. Upon further research, it looks like the BestBuy Insignia brand sources components from multiple manufacturers and the QC is insufficient, as this is a critical part of the freezer and shouldn't have this kind of issue. Perhaps this is something I should have expected at this price point, but because it is a storage freezer that we don't open often, I thought it would be able to keep things frozen at a consistent temperature without an issue for a little while. So now we have a brick and no way reasonable way to fix it professionally. We are replacing the parts ourselves to see if this works, but again, this piece being faulty is ridiculous in our opinions.

I needed a smaller freezer due to limited space. The freezer fits perfectly in my small space. So far it is working well.

The is a great freezer. Right out of the package it was a perfect size for our family. Many shelves and a drawer at the bottom. Had to change to door swing and with the instructions, changing it was a breeze. Recommend this unit for the smaller size upright freezer needs of your family!

This works well as a garage freezer. So far I have had no issues and no inside frosting. It doesn’t take up too much room either.

Aesthetically clean fridge. Works perfectly after many months. I’m only using it for freezing in my basement without issues.

This review is after one month of use. The freezer has a lot of space considering the size. I can store lots of frozen snacks for my kids for school. It has created more space in my original fridge too. Now I have lots of options. The cooling is excellent. I would recommend it especially if there are kids in the house.

Good freezer. Roomy enough for meats, treats. Convertible to refrigerator, will be purchasing one more for that purpose. Space saver, can easily move if you decide to rearrange your kitchen, which I do, often enough. Easier to clean underneath, rolls around. Im 5'5, freezer stands at shoulder height. Overall, perfect for my lifestyle.

I needed a good small freezer and this is great!! Small, but had 5 shelves and I can see what I have now. Love it. Best buy had the greatest price so it came home to me!!

We bought this freezer, we did not need a big freezer , so far so good. We bought some fresh food to put in it , and put in some frozen food . Waiting on our thermometer to get here to put in to make sure we are getting a zero reading on the freezer. Very quiet. This is a garage ready freezer we have it on our sun porch , so far doing good .

Fridge/freezer is awesome and that it does both even better. We have a small freezer so this little extra space really helps and it doesn’t run up the electric bill.

Bought this convertible freezer so I could freeze meal prep and be able to use the fridge function for baking. I chose this one because is just the right size for storage and it doesn't kill my back.

I love my new freezer. It is perfect for my small space which is a 10x50 trailer. It fits perfectly between my pantry armoire and portable dishwasher in the dinning room.

We needed a small freezer since we have a refrigerator only in our kitchen. We put the freezer in our pantry and it is perfect. Size allows us to have shelves above. Room for all of the frozen items we want for the two of us.

Great freezer when you do not need a large one. I wasn't sure that I would like a taller, thinner one, compared to our older model. But I love it. The Best Buy delivery guys were awesome!
