Fantastic product! I purchased this before my trip to Spain, and it ended up being a game‑changer. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but totally worth it because it streamlined my entire charging setup. One charger, multiple devices, and compatibility across several countries. It even works perfectly in the US. Highly recommend for travelers who want simplicity and reliability.

The Insignia 70w Travel Adapter with 2 AC Outlets, 3 USB C Ports and 2 USB A Ports is compact, powerful and super flexible. It's powered by GaN III Technology. GaN III Technology, is the latest GaN Standard. GaN stands for Gallium Nitride, primarily used for Fast Charging. It uses chips, which generate less heat and are safer for long term charging. Since you can plug a number of devices into this travel charger, it's good technology to have on hand. This really convenient Travel Charger is compatible with 13 different outlet types, which will permit you to stay charged in more than 200 Countries and territories around the world. When you need a particular plug, you simply slide the one you need from the side of the charging cube and slide it back in when not plugged in. There is an LED indicator which lets you know when it's plugged in and ready for you to plug your devices into. It also has fuse inside plus a convenient spare, should you inadvertently push the charger beyond its capabilities or it gets wet, which will immediately blow the fuse to protect itself and your devices. If you travel, you know the issues you may face with incompatible power sources. Fortunately, Insignia has you covered in this affordable and every so convenient Travel Adapter, which will power your laptop, tablet, cell phone or any myriad of devices which you can charge via USB A or C.

Oh thank you Insignia!!! I travel back and forth from Southern Africa every year and this device is going to be fantastic for that. Crossing through South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia I will encounter nearly all three adapter types, having it built in is great for space saving and reduces the risk of misplacing an adapter. Typical all-in-ones with USB charging building are massive, but the Gallium Nitride charging shrinks the charging internals down and overall makes the device perfectly sized to charge how you need. The combination of charging is fantastic! There are limitations in charging speeds depending on the number of USB ports used. The USB-C1 is the fastest rated charging port and its location is the same as the USA AC outlet (Polarized and Non-Grounded), so depending on the orientation of what is plugged into that outlet, it can block the USB-C1 port. Looking at the User Manual it does not indicate if using both AC Outlets, whether the charging protocols are affected. Overall the adapter can handle a max rating of 2400W at 240V and 1000W at 100V; that is 10 amps either way. And I would guess that on 120V circuit it would translate to 1200W, keeping to the 10 amp max. There is a fuse built-in along with a slot with a spare fuse (wonderful!) rated at 10 amps. So the reality is you are only going to be able to use 10amps worth of combined power AC/DC. There is an LED indicator light on the bottom of the adapter (USB 4 Port row). Solid = normal No Light = possible overload

The Insigna 70W Travel adapter it is a must have travel essential just tossed in your luggage and make sure it always stays with you if you are leaving the country! I do travel to Europe few times a year and if i will have even a layover in UK or other countries this thing has me covered (over 200 countries) with 3 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports it is perfect for charging multiple devices at once - phones, tablets, even my laptop. The total output power is 70W, which is plenty for most setups, though each port has its own cap (so don't expect 70w from a single port). Build quality feels solid, and it's compact enough to just toss in a carry-on without taking up much space. I especially appreciate the USB-C versatility that keeps my iPhone charged quickly and reliably, drawing around 27w, which this adapter handles with ease! So whether you'll use it for international travels or as a multi-port charger this Insignia adapter delivers. Just be mindful of the total wattage if you are plugging in several power hungry devices at once and for the 2 AC outlets that it doesn't convert Voltage!

The Insignia - 70W Travel Adapter with 2 AC Outlets, 3 USB-C Ports & 2 USB Ports is from Best Buy’s house brand Insignia. Let me preface this review with some information, I received this adapter a little late for my latest European adventure, so I can’t test this with anything other than the two-pronged USA standard at this time. Now it is important to note THIS IS NOT A VOLTAGE CONVERTER, for example in Europe the standard is 230 volts, so you can’t use a small appliance or device that has a USA prong with this adapter to plug in the two rounded prong European standard. With that out of the way, if you are using the same voltage with different connections this adapter will work. In real life, I do not take any appliances (or for example a hair dryer) to Europe and that is not a problem for me. What I usually take are devices charged or powered via USB, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet. Since these devices don’t require any voltage conversion the wattage is really what matters. This Adapter has three USB-C ports which can deliver sufficient power to charge devices and laptops. Some laptops have a high wattage requirement and may not be powered sufficiently without running off the battery, eventually that laptop will lose the battle as the battery has to provide a portion of the power and exhaust itself. The Insignia adapter looks and specs are similar to other adapters available online, however having a brick-and-mortar store available to purchase from and with in person customer service is sometimes a value. As for the tech specs, the maximum output of 70 watts is shared amongst the USB ports, so if for instance you need to power a laptop via USB-C, if you draw power by plugging in other USB devices, the power output will be reduced and only peak at 70 watts. For most situations this is not an issue. Just a word of advice, take a photo of the Quick Setup guide insert so you are prepared around the configuration and capabilities of the adapter. Overall, this is a versatile travel adapter and will work for most use cases, the adapter also includes fuse protection and includes with a spare fuse stored within the adapter.

Great Travel Adapter and General Power Plug

I love all of my Insignia tech gadgets as it is Best Buy's house brand using the latest high-end white label OEM products at a significant discount. This 70W Travel Adapter is perfect not just as a travel adapter, but given how many ports and plugs it has, you can easily just use it in your home as a USB power plug to plug all your gadgets into or toss it in your work bag so you always have a power plug for your gadgets or laptop that charge using USB-C. The coolest thing about this Travel Adapter is that it is almost perfectly rectangular cube other than some sliding lock switches on the side that protude the different power prongs for EU, USA/AUS, and UK. This is easily the most ingenius feature of this travel adapter as the one I previously owned as a mess of plastic and metal attachments that had to be slid into place and carried in a little baggie. Not really compact and truth be told, most of the power prongs are likely lost which is not great given you may need any of them depending on which region you go to. On this unit, you can just slide out the power prong you need and they lock into place once fully extended. Then just unplug and retract and you have a little sturdy cube again. All self-contained, nothing on it to break. There's tons of connectivity options too, you have 3 USB-C and 2 USB-A that can get up to the 70W rated power. You also have passthrough power to a device with a multi-adapter female input for all the regions supported. And, you have a US standard 2 prong 120V outlet on the side. That's a ton of connectivity coming from a single wall outlet. This device is also GaN which is Gallium Nitride which is the new rage in portable electronics, battery and charging tech. Basically, these components in chargers and batteries replace silicon so they allow these devices to get smaller, operate cooler, output more power, and have more output options. Seeing 3xUSB-C and 2xUSB-A packed onto every facet of this cube you could tell it was GaN. So there you have it, perfect travel charger and even home USB adapter, I opted for the 70W because I figure why not get the most aggregated power you can and I do have some laptops that will charge at up to 100W, so the extra output would charge them faster.

I just took this adapter on a trip. It was an essential piece of gear. It works really well on airplanes in the UK mode. In addition to high voltage outlets, it has all of the USB ports you need. I will not connect my phone or data devices to USB ports in public spaces - including airplanes. I highly recommend. They are sometimes hard to find, so order before you need it.

I was looking at all the travel adapters on Amazon, and it’s tough to trust some of the brands on there. I saw this 70w GAN charger from insignia, and knew that while it’s probably the exact same product, with insignia badging, he does have the best buy backing and support if something catastrophic happens. It is able to charge my MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, AirPods, Sony XM6s, and anker battery without something not being able to charge. It charges slowly obviously with all of that, but it still does. I have found that the cheap Amazon ones can only really charge one or two things reliably. The PD USB C port helps a lot, to other PD devices or chargers. Anyways, sure this on a few week trip to Europe, love it, worked well, did the job, reliable and is going to stay in my travel bag for the future.

This is easily the most useful thing in my bag whenever I travel. I love that it has multiple USB-C and regular USB ports because I can charge my phone, watch, and laptop all at the same time from one outlet. The plugs slide out smoothly and they actually stay locked in place so the adapter doesn't fall out of the wall when you plug in a heavy cord. It is pretty compact for how much power it puts out and it feels like it is built to last. It is so much easier than carrying five different charging bricks with me everywhere I go.

Haven’t had it for that long but it’s similar in design to other travel adapters I’ve used. It’s heavier than other models due to 70w capability (which is great). Note that if you want the full 70w over USB for a device like a laptop, you can’t use any of the other ports. It starts splitting watts across ports the more things you plug in, but this should still give fast charging for most devices. 5 total ports split between USB C and USB A is great for versatility. The AC plug on the side is a nice addition that normally doesn’t come on these things. Other adapters in this style have a lockout release button for the plug adapters, this one doesn’t have it but I’m not sure it will be missed. This is great value at the sale price of $35.

Everything with my electronics worked fine except my hair clippers. When I plugged them in, they technically worked, but they vibrated aggressively and made an extremely loud noise, like they were about to blow up. I tried multiple outlets and had the same issue each time. My CPAP, headphones, and phone charged without any problems, but the fast-charging plug for those devices got extremely warm.
