One important thing to note - this unit does not work with the newest Ipod Touch, version 4. If it had been, it would have been a fantastic deal. I got this one on sale for $49.95. Picture quality is very good, plus the ability to playback video from the Ipod makes this a winner. Just really unfortunate that it won't work with the newest Ipod Touch...

My 1st experience with a digital frame. Contrary to what another reviewer said, this frame does have 2G built-in internal memory. Instructions included are very minimal, you need to go to mfg website to get full instructions(PDF), which I suggest you do.Take your time and learn everything about it or else you will be convinced that it is malfunctioning. Especially the feature where it will turn itself off when the room light level drops. Also make sure the firmware is updated. You will only find out about this if you visit the website. Ipod connectivity is really cool. You can watch your ipod videos on this screen. This frame would work very well on an office desk allowing you to play your ipod. The frame bezel is unnecessarily thick making it look more like a TV than a picture frame. Time/date over picture at every startup (after shutdown) is very aggravating. So you have to go to menu to turn it off. Insignia helpdesk said this is not supposed to be happening, so I exchanged the original only to have it occur with the replacement. At this point I think I know more about the product than the mfg helpdesk. Don't know how this frame compares with other $150.00 frames, I paid $40 on sale, would never pay $150.00.

The photo frame has a nice clear picture. Lots of nice options like copying photos from a camera or storage card to the onboard memory and then running a slideshow. Removing the pics is a bit tedious since there isn't a select all. Couldn't get pics from iPhone 1st Gen to copy, but the iPod feature worked to play music from phone thru frame. Was able to run video from 1st Gen 60GB iPod into frame. Remote worked, but you had to be close and point line of sight. All in all it does what you would expect and it has more features then digital frames at similiar cost.

I got this on a super special deal the day after new years, so the price was great! I was in the market for a while for an iPod doc and I figured why not give this a try. I couldn't be happier with this! I have it next to our bed and charge my phone every night on it. I use it as my alarm clock. The cool thing is it will play music through the speakers and there is a built in light sensor so it turns on automatically and shuts off when its dark. Its a very cool photo frame / iPod doc you wont be disappointed!

Easy to use. Remote and Ipod dock hides inside for neat appearance. Has amazing sound for its size. Overall, I'm VERY pleased.

Does a lot for a small piece of electronic device. Sits in our living room and displays all of our pictures for everyone that comes over. They all say it's really cool. Great for ipods too, charges ipod, plays music, docks, etc. Overall a great investment.

Got the frame on sale for $50.. excellent.. it deserves lot more money..Lots of features and really worth to have one in living or bedroom. One of the posting, someone says, we could play netflix from IPOD/IPHONE on to the screen.. I couldn't get it working (did the firmware upgrade as well). I think, display work for the content in the ipod/iphone not as a display extension.. Regards BJ

I bought this digital photo frame with an ipod dock as a christmas present for my wife. she likes to play music in the kitchen and has no photos of her and the kids in there. end result - i used an old flash drive which holds way more photos than she'll ever need, and had it ready to go when she plugged it in the outlet. the pictures are very clear, the "slide show" worked smoothly and at a good pace, and the speakers worked very suitably for a kitchen sized space at a quality you'd expect from a picture frame. the process - not great. understanding the menu and using the remote is very confusing. it is not intuitive. now that i've messed with it over and over, we can do what we need to with it. overall - get it at a good price and the end result is well worth the extra effort.

I like the Picture frame for it is nice to see pictures when I wake up, and the fact it plays music and is an alarm clock. I do wish it was a lot louder than it is, but you can't have it all, so overall it was a good deal.

I managed to get this item on sale. The Image quality is excellent and replaced a lot of clutter on our table. I don't use the Ipod feature a lot but I can see where it would be quite handy. It slides in so it does not look like something is missing when not in use. Lots of options and Easy to use I AM QUITE HAPPY with my purchase and I'm happy to Recommend it to anyone.

I'm not too techno savvy so I would have liked better set up instructions. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy. It's fun to play music on it, sound quality is pretty good, picture quality is great.

I like this digital photo frame. You can also put your ipod right in the dock on the side and listen to your music and it charges your ipod too. Slideshow is cool too. Really nice.

Purchased this item for $49. Keep getting an error message "this accessary not optimized for iPhone" when I dock my iPhone and try to play music/photo/video. The power button only works occassionally, slideshow using my iPhone as control also works occassionally, headphone does not work at all. After learning about the firmware upgrade from "customer review" I found at this website, I upgraded it and things appear to be working fine. From photo slideshow to internet radio to netflix movies, everything seems to work great! I have yet to try the headphone yet. For it's price and functionalities, it's a great buy.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 15 yr old son. It seems very functional, has nice picture quality and the price was good.

Stuck an old SD card full of pictures in it and it is great! It cycles through all the pictures and charges my Ipod too. I wanted a nice digital picture frame and got wayyy more for a lower price. Excellent size, picture quality and functionality.

Got this during Christmas time when it was going for $50. Works great. The ipod function is a plus. Don't expect great sound quality, but it's a nice feature. A bit bulky due to the speakers. The picture quality is good.

Fabulous display, audio and ease of compatibility with iphone 4 and usb devices. Only thing did not connect to ipod video. However at the price I paid, this is well worth it. Pictures have a glossy look too.

I received the goods as promised and the quality and features of the frame come with surprises. I can play my ipod touch and display my pictures straight from the digital camera or the usb drive.

While it seems like this would be a great gift to accompany my son's iPod, the only time it has been used was after opening it on Christmas morning. Getting the iPod docked in the first place really should be much easier. It feels like you are going to break something when connecting it. And if you have a cover on your iPod, plan on some wiggling to get it to recognize it. Don't lose the remote either, you are going to need it, since the controls on the device itself don't seem to work while the iPod is docked. It will only play movies, music and images that are stored on the iPod, so if you use a streaming service, such as Netflix, or Pandora, don't expect them to work on this device. You can't even watch YouTube videos on it! In fact, we weren't able to get any apps to show up on it. Not the browser, not youtube, definitely no games. It's also takes some getting used to that the screen is not a touchscreen, but maybe that's just me.
