I've had mine for 2 years and it's going strong. In hot heat in the car and it still works great. It is short though and rather rigid if trying to pull the phone to my ear, it barely stretches. But the plastic and the coil cable are lasting great.

It was easy to purchase this charger for our other car as I had already purchased one for the truck. The only downside is there isn't a USB port on the back of this charger, otherwise, for the price and durability, I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better car charger.

Was in the store inquiring about a vehicle charger for my phone and did purchase this one and was surprised how fast and how much the phone charged in a short period of time. Durable charger and likely to purchase again if I would to purchase for another person or family member.

I like that this charger is coiled cord, so it's pretty much out of the way when not in use. I have one of those little sticky back hooks in my car and I hang the end of it there and it will reach my phone mount without unhooking it. If I have to hold the phone to my ear, which I seldom do, the cord stretches without unplugging from the phone or DC outlet. So I read where some so called expert talked about DC surges in cars and you shouldn't use a cord like this. Here's the deal, don't plug the phone into the charger until you have started the vehicle. Most surges occur when you first start the vehicle. Once it's up and running you can plug this charger in. Now if you have an alternator issue and the voltage is going up and down, you have bigger problems and other more important electronics are going to get messed up. Mine is in my truck all the time and like I said, it's purpose built.

I normally try to stay away from Insignia brand products as I am a believer that you get what you pay for and saving a few dollars now will likely mean spending twice later. In this case, I needed a charger for one of my cars and the gentleman at Best Buy showed me each of them that they had to offer. I noticed right away that the attention to detail on the Insignia product was above that of the others. The guy insisted that this was the best one. I cannot agree more. I am glad that I purchased this one and it has served me well and has lasted through a lot of use and, knock on wood, I do not see me having to spend twice on this purchase anytime soon.

Works as advertised. Wanted a quality product that would not damage my new iPhone. The only thing that would make it better is that the cord is coiled tightly making it a little short while still new. Will probably loosen up in time.

My iPhone 7+ has great battery life, but because I'm constantly using it, it still requires charging. Having this accessory for on-the-go charging makes my busy life a little less complicated and more stress-free. Great accessory and worth the money!

We bought this charger to be able to charge my wife's new Iphone in the car while traveling. Although not an Apple product, it is designed for use with certain Iphones. It is convenient to use and charges the phone quickly. The price is better than that for the charger available from our cell phone company store.

This is a good product and was worth the money. I bought another style and the plug was too wide to fit easily through the Otter Box Defender Case. Not so with this charger. It fit perfect, charges quickly, and recommended to anyone looking for a good car charger.

This charger is exactly as you might expect. It looks nice and charges your phone. I gave it four stars since it does exactly what you want at a decent price. Don't expect any frills like an extra USB port. The light is slightly dim and hard to see during the day. A good purchase if you just need a charger for your iPhone

I had this charger for about 3 years having to replace it about once a year. It charges pretty fast. But the same defect happens to all three. When pulling the phone towards myself while still connect, the coil part of the cable doesn’t really extend and instead tugs where the cable connects to the charging part. After a while, the connection is lost and it no longer works. I bought the longer 15W version of this charger and while it sort of solves the issue, the cable being longer sticks out and sways around while driving, gets annoying after a while. I switched over to an amazon basics adapter and 1.5’ apple lighting cable.... way better.

This is the third one I have purchased, my sons took the others, they work great and are a great price. Last a long time. I would purchase this charger again.

This is the second one that I’ve purchased because it works very quickly. We have one for each car because it’s reliable and charges faster than a regular plug in usb cord. Highly recommended.

This charger is one of the best I've found it is heavy duty and can withstand the constant pulling and tugging without breaking. I highly recommend it to those who want a charger to be ready to charge and not wonder if its going to work.

These charge your phone quick and work great! Buy good quality chargers otherwise your phone may blow up! This is awesome we have 3 of them and love them. It charges your phone quicker than a normal charger!

Functions great but the cord should be longer for optimal use, has pulled my phone on to the floor from the cord/coil tension from the outlet to my center console which is approximately 2ft. If your outlet is very close to your desired charging location it's a good, quick charger.

I’ve purchased other car chargers in the past and after a few years, they’ve stopped charging. This one, however, keeps on ticking - and does a fairly good job charging the phone. The only downside is that the cord is a tad bit too short - wish it were longer.

Absolutely love this charger. Isn't as testy as other chargers and hasn't broken yet after months of heavy usage. It also charges super fast and fits in the lighter socket perfectly! Highly recommend!

I’ve had this charger for a couple months now and it charges my phone so fast. I’ve had a bad draining battery and this keeps my battery full while using navigation apps on the road.

I was looking for a charger that had a coil cord and was permanent attached to the plug. This cord meets both those, and does a great job. It is very compact in my car, and seems like it will hold up well.
