An amazing turntable for someone who's just getting into the hobby! Easy to set up, sounds great, and is affordable without cutting costs!. Would highly recommend to anyone who is starting their vinyl journey and is on a budget. I do suggest, however, that you read up on properly setting up the counterweight, although the manual also goes into pretty good detail.

Best budget turntable with anti skate and preamp

So what I upgraded from is that suitcase record player on the left of the Insignia turntable in the center. Exactly one year ago today I started my vinyl collection and bought that portable record player loving my new hobby. What I didn’t realize was that not only was I cheating myself out of audio quality, but also hours of stress trying to understand why new or unscratched albums would continue to skip over and over. The Insignia turntable may be a budget player, however it sounds phenomenal with my bookshelf speakers and is by far the most inexpensive turntable to have a counterweight and anti skate. I would highly recommend this turntable for anyone that doesn’t need a $500 record player or usb function to rip your albums. If you are looking for a great budget turntable this is it!

    Fantastic entry level turntable!

I love this turntable! This truly is a fantastic entry level turntable as unlike other entry level models you get an adjustable counterweight, anti skate, and an upgradable stylus. There is also an optical sensor that helps maintain the proper motor speed. The turntable is not automatic but does have an auto stop feature which stops the spinning when the stylus hits the end of the record. This means no worries about wearing down your stylus if you forget to stop the table (or fall asleep while listening!). The built in phono amp means you don’t need a preamp to connect to powered speakers. But if you have the equipment, you can switch to line out and connect to an external preamp. The headphone jack is great for private listening and Bluetooth capability is nice to have, but nothing beats the analog experience. Aesthetically, the table looks great. The smoked dust over looks very 70’s. It comes with an AT3600 conical stylus. The headshell is not removable but you can replace/upgrade the cartridge. It comes with an extra belt as well which is a nice touch. Toss the felt mat though and get an acrylic one. The felt attracts dust and static! I have this connected to a pair of Edifier powered speakers and it sounds great! As someone who is just getting into records I find this suits my needs perfectly! I like it so much that I purchased one for a relative who is also just getting into records.

    Well built and manually adjusted!

Plays great, manually adjustable, and has flexible output options. I was originally going to go with an automatic audiotechnica table, but went with this one because enthusiasts recommended a manual table with not control like this. It still has all the features I really wanted and at a much lower price ($90 on sale). The feet have springs to help isolate the turn table from external vibrations, and it's got a nice heavy, well built feeling to it. Bluetooth, headphone, and normal analog audio output are all options. The only thing I don't like is that the felt mat leaves fuzzies on the side of the record that's laying against it. Not sure if that'll affect the playback or the needle, etc over time.

You really can't ask for more at this price point. Bluetooth output, a bent tonearm with adjustable anti-skate and counterweight, an aluminum platter... the list goes on. It even includes RCA cables and an extra belt for the platter. This does require a bit of familiarity with turntables in order to operate correctly (definitely not a "first time" machine) but if you are used to traditional turntables and setups, you shouldn't have any problems. For everyone else, just read the manual carefully, and you should be good to go. Highly recommended!

Note : The slipmat seen in my photo is not the one it came with. This turntable is amazing. The Sound quality is excellent. I love that it has a headphone jack. I can listen to my explicit records without my room-mate's 7 year old grand kid hearing it. Also, there is just something special about listening to a vinyl record through headphones. You can really hear a lot more than you can with just speakers. It was very easy to set up. And it looks like it was actually manufactured for Best Buy's "Insignia" brand by Audio Technica, based off the fact Audio Technica's logo is literally on the needle cartridge. I've always wanted one of their record players and it looks like I may have gotten one disguised as an Insignia. I really love this turntable and for 130 dollars, it's a great value

After doing some research for a while on a turntable I came across a YouTube review for this one. It was great video, and the reviewer was impressed. Looked up what users thought on forums and decided to go for it. After fiddling with the counterweight for a bit it runs perfect. I have it plugged into an old Sony system that I like the sound of, but I'm intending to upgrade to something better eventually. And the Bluetooth works great. Not something I'll use all the time, but it's nice to have. I'm just starting my vinyl collection, and I'm excited to play everything on this turntable

This turntable may not be the best audio quality, but for an amateur coming from a suitcase player, it is great quality at a great price. I paired it with the Insignia 2.1 Speaker System and they paired over Bluetooth automatically. The turntable is great, though I would highly recommend you also purchase a record cleaning kit. The Big Fudge kit with the needle cleaning gel is a lifesaver.

Perfect for casual listening of my records, this is the one I use now when I need music company for the household duties. Bluetooth works smoothly, didn't try yet the rca cables or the headphones, I paid a little more money for it than for a crappy portable one and I'm surprised with the quality of the sound.

Considering the price of the player, I'm amazed at the features and quality. Adjustable counterweight and anti skate. There is very slight motor noise only audible if you hold your head close to the platter with nothing playing
