When my controller battery is running low, I can just plug it in and continue to play. When I'm done playing, I can put my PS4 in rest mode and the controller will continue to fully charge. I wish the cord was a little longer. At only 6 feet in length, I have to sit closer to my 60" TV than I normally have to if I am charging while playing. Still worth it.
