The arm is VERY sturdy, and it does its job perfectly. It also makes a great handle that adds some stability to the handheld shots. I have no worries carrying the camera by this arm when it's in place. It holds the light and the camera perfectly, and it does have a spot on the bottom to attach a tripod. It does its job very well.

Gets Stuck

However, the screw for the mount keeps getting stuck and I have to walk around with a wrench or something to knock it loose. I can see how it is cheaply made and inconvenient sometimes

Perfect for mounting mic & camcorder on tripod

Allows me to fix mic and camera to mount and use as handheld. Unexpected nice feature is female threading on mounting screw that allows mounting entire rig on a tripod - perfect! Can't use heavy equipment, but worked great for consumer grade and a bargain price, too.
