I could not get this to work at all. It wasn't very expensive so I just trashed it. Would not recommend this item.

Did not work at all, When I took it to the store to see if I was just using it wrong they couldn’t even help me.

This is a good mix for recording , does cancel out some noise for sure but not the best in class.

Many ways have been come up with to make the use of the mobile phone more enhanced, more interesting, and more...more. This microphone is a great idea, and its time has come, but if you're a philmie, this is not what you need.

Camera manual said I could use external mike as long as jack fit plug-in but I would not be able to hear from camera replay only from computer file. Mike did not pick up anything from the wedding. My fault did not check on computer but surely was huge disappointment.

I had hoped this mic would enhance the audio portion of videos. Experiments yielded poor results, not much better than the built-in mic.

wanted to add a microphone for my gopro and this failed to do the job as best buy did not carry an aux input cable to USB cable

Horrible piece of equipment. No difference in sound quality from either my Galaxy Note 5 phone nor my Samsung Tablet.

This really doesn't help much. Your phone's mic would be just fine in most cases.

Bought this and tested it on a "Samsung S8 Active" with a Pelican protective case. First off, it couldn't be inserted properly due to the Pelican case. I had to remove the phone from the case in order to use it. (That's not the fault of the mic, but something others might want to know). As for sound quality, I'd describe it as adequate. Nowhere near as good as a pro mic, and for a directional mic it had some sound rejection, but not stellar. If all you're doing is recording your own voice with an app or recording ambient sound, then it would probably be adequate, but for anything more sophisticated than that, you might be a little disappointed. I see it's on clearance at BB, and while the online price is shown as $ 20.99, I bought it in a store for $ 17.99. Maybe they can't get rid of them fast enough.

Purchased this to use with my external mic adapter on my Hero5 Black. It doesn't work at all for some reason. Videos have absolutely no sound when played back.
