When I recently was on a trip and forgot my regular power cord, the connector allowed me to continue using my GPS. An excellent back up device!!

This plug came with the older mini usb rather than the newer universal micro usb.

I bought the Insignia Dual USB universal power cord for my TomTom GPS. First thing that I liked was the inexpensive price,and the second thing that I came to like was it was actually better than the original power cord ! The dual USB ports are great ! I like the fact that the ports are lit with a rather cool looking blue light making it easy to plug my USB cord in when its dark inside the car,also I find it easier to plug into my GPS than the original power cord.

Most importantly - it works. When only 1 in 2 items bought on a current market work, this is a winner. The charger has output 5V 2A, and 2 USB outlets. So you can charge at the same time 1 phone that needs 5V 2A (like Samsung Galaxy), or 2 older type phones that need 5V 1A (each). The cable is indeed mini-USB, so you have to invest in something more modern like USB-C for Samsung Galaxy. Fortunately, you can use different cable, the one that comes with the charger unplugs easily. One negative experience which also other users notices and commented on - this charger is really difficult to insert into the cigarette lighter socket in the car. Or even non-lighter socket, if you have one, specifically for charging. The metal springs are flexible, but it is still so incredibly hard to push it in. It does fit in the end, but it feels like you are going to break something. On a positive note - it does not move, jump or jiggle during the ride, so your phone does not get jolted with power spikes.

We have a family of 5 and travel a lot! One of our kids os a teenage girl and she will wither up and die if she does not have her phone at all times. She this is a perfect way for her to keep her phone charged and me to keep my phone/gps charged at the same time.

Dual usb is a must. This device works with all electronics BUT you must have the correct cord for your specific electronic. There are always more electronics than plugs in a road trip. This device is inexpensive and less bulky than the pictures appear.

Was given a used Garmin's GPS for xmas. And it didn't come with this charging cord. It works great charging. But it does not let you use it from your computer to GPS for updates. But I'm grateful you can get this charger that works

Meets my needs. I needed a new power cord for my Garmin GPS and this works perfectly. Not only does it work well for my automobile GPS but it also has a 2nd USB port for me to recharge my cell phone when on long trips.

I have searched everywhere for a cord that would charge my phone in the car. All the others I tried would not work. This works perfect, because not only does it work, but it also came with a cord that works for my GPS as well too.

I bought this power cord for use in my car for an early model Nuvi automobile GPS. It works perfect and has a 2nd USB port for an additional device if I so choose. 100% satisfied, I wish I had gone to Best Buy First.

My cheapy charger stopped working which led to profuse teeth grinding. Went to the nearest Best Buy, purchased the Insignia and use it to power my GPS unit and an Android phone. So far so good (teeth are much better off now)

This is a great Multi-USB Charger. I provides a good connection with in your automobile and Charges Fast. The most Impressive thing about it is that it does not get hot. Great device for the low price.

I was not expecting it to come with a cable but it did. Used in the car for the GPS and charge the phone at the same time. neither device has complained about low power.

My charger cable to my GPS broke and the Best buy sales person adviced me to get that one. Glad I did. Low cost replacement and now I can even have my phone plugged in at the same time

I bought this car charger to use as a replacement cord for my GPS. This works great if you have lost your original cord for your GPS I have a Garman and the insignia car charger works perfect for it.

Dual charger makes it easier to charge more than one device while traveling, keeps everyone from arguing on who's going to charge 1st or 2nd, when 2 people can charge at the same time. Equal use of device.

I needed a dual usb charger to run gps and charge phone on my Harley the one I had kept working loose and loosing connection . Stopped and bought this one and rode another 1000 miles without any problems.

I was very pleased that It was the cord that went bad, and not my device. The Geek Squad personnel so me what I needed and i purchase a GPS cord. and I haven't had any issue since then.

It did work great when I needed to charge my cellphone and also I used it when using my GPS while on trip or vacation.
