One of the best features of Apple Watch is the ability to easily swap out watch bands without tools or special know-how, which has resulted in a rich marketplace of third-party watch band options. Insignia is out with a wide variety of new watch bands, including a leather option in two classic colors. How do they stack up? I chose the black option for this Genuine Leather band in the appropriate size for my 40mm Apple Watch Series 6. It is simply packaged in paperboard with no plastic and slides right open so you can inspect the watch band before purchase. It's easy to pop out of the box and attach to your watch like any other well-made band. I had no trouble installing or removing the stainless steel lugs and they fit my Series 6 Watch nice and tight. The strap is advertised as genuine leather and I have no reason to doubt this. The letter has a matte finish, with a pebble texture on the outside and a soft, smooth finish on the inside. I like the contrasting tan inside/black outside. The stitching is simple and color-matched on both sides which gives it a subtle look overall. The band isn't especially thick, but it has a subtle taper and pointed end. I like the stainless finish on the hardware, it's got a bit of a sheen but it's not reflective like chrome. The overall look of this band is simple, modern and understated. It should blend well with pretty much any style for any gender. On the flip side, it won't stand out, which may or may not be a deciding factor for you. Sizing can be tough for Apple Watch bands -- some bands for the smaller watch sizes don't fit larger wrists -- but this Insignia band has plenty of well-spaced holes so I had no trouble buckling it on my larger wrist. It stays secure without being too tight and the soft backing is a plus. I don't really notice the band when I'm wearing it, which in my opinion is a complement to the subtlety of this design. It's not any more or less sweaty/breathable than other leather bands I've used. Since leather isn't designed to get wet or withstand a lot of physical activity I don't wear this band to the gym or while doing chores, working outside, etc. It's for work, dinner or other times I want something nicer but don't anticipate getting dirty. Overall I'm pleased with this Insignia band, especially at the advertised price point. It feels pretty well made and is comfortable for all-day wear. It is made from good materials and has plenty of adjustment for different wrist sizes. It's not flashy but it is classy -- and classy never goes out of style.

I was excited to find this leather watch band on sale and was able to use my $5 reward. It was exactly what I was looking for.

This black leather watch band for my Apple Watch is okay, but not great. It’s a nice change from my sport loop, but it’s kind of cheap looking and probably won’t hold up. As I got it on sale, it’s probably worth what I paid but definitely wouldn’t recommend at full price. I have a small wrist and I need to use the very last hole on the band to get it to fit.

Solid watch, I really like the leather band I bought separately because apple watches dont come with both bands anymore which is not great. But the watch itself is great

Over the years, Insignia has been known to be a reliable third-party vendor in the tech space for creating Best Buy-branded devices and artifacts, and this leather band does not disappoint. If you are in the market for a malleable, stylish-looking leather band for your Apple Watch, this could be the band for you. The band is certainly not as thick as other after-market bands that are available for the Apple Watch, but it certainly appears to hold its own. As mentioned, it is definitely a stylish band -- it will go with pretty much any social situation you might be in. I have not been wearing the band for long, so I am not able to speak to its ruggedness over, say, a years' time of wearing. If your watch size matches up to the specifications of the item's title, you should have no problems with the band fitting your watch. It does come exactly as pictured in terms of stitching, coloration, and thickness. It can sometimes be daunting looking for a solid, after-market, non-Apple-branded watch band, but Insignia has delivered here.

This is such a supple, soft leather band by insignia. This is definitely a great Best buy product, as not only is it affordable, it truly is so comfortable. I really can't recommend this band enough. It is easy to install, taking only a few minutes and not requiring any special tools. I'm even thinking about getting the other colors, so that I can match it to what I am wearing. One of the greatest things about the packaging is that you can actually slide it open so you can feel the leather and how soft it is. A great means of checking it out before you buy it. Keep in mind that this fits the 38, 40, and 41 mm. What sizes. The metal connections are stainless steel to ensure no rusting or anything like that from sweat or other water exposure. The one downside to this band, but it would be the case with any leather band, is that it really is not meant for swimming, especially regularly. Do end up in the water with it, be sure to let it air dry out of the sun, after patting it dry with a towel.

The screw holing the watch band to the silicone pieces that slides into the Apple Watch, fell out. I barely had it for a week and my watch was on the floor. Luckily my friend saw it fall and the screw wasn’t able to be placed back into the band. I almost lost my watch because this band came apart. The other half of the band was still in tack but I almost lost my watch because of the poor quality screw that kept the bang attacked to the silicone piece that slides into the Apple Watch placement. It does look nice and it feels nice but the quality of hardware to simple keep the band together, was terrible. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I am very happy with this Insignia Leather Apple Watch Band. I am using it with the Series 4 Apple Watch 40 mm. The band is seems well made and is very comfortable to wear. I have been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and find it to be very comfortable. I wear it every day and wear it fairly snug. It is not hot and my wrist does not get sweaty. This band has holes in it to fit a pretty small wrist. My wrists are pretty small and I have it on the second from the smallest hole. One loop is fixed and the other is movable. I like that I can adjust the second one to be close to the end of the band. It holds the end of the band well and does not slide around. The band is relatively long and it seems like it would fit a fairly large wrist as well. After removing your old band, this one will side into the watch and snap into place nicely as it should. The stitching looks great. The texture looks nice and the leather finish looks great as well. If you are looking for a leather Apple Watch band, I would definitely recommend this one.

This black leather band makes my Apple Watch look very nice. I have a size 41mm model 8 watch and it fits very well. In particular, I like that the black band will go with anything I wear and will look casual or elegant based on how I'm dressed. It is a good quality leather that should last for a long time and through normal wear and tear as long as it is taken care of properly. Be sure to swap it out when working out or swimming, do not use this band as it will destroy the leather. The bars that fit into the watch's locking mechanism for the band attach easily and fit the watch very securely. There are no gaps or overhang which helps to create a secure fit. There are nine notches on the band allowing for varying sizes of wrist up to nine inches around. The buckle and prong for the clasp are both silver and seem sturdy enough to sustain a lot of use. Overall, I think this is a solid alternative to some of the much higher priced leather bands that I have seen on the market. I would definitely recommend giving this a try.
