Good entry leather band for the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Insignia leather band is an attractive, durable, and flexible band for your Apple Watch. Is it for you? Well that depends. Lovers of fine leather might turn their nose up at this band, but generally speaking it seems pretty solid. That said, I would expect that this is bonded leather, and thus will eventually flake apart. Don’t expect this band to last like a full grain band. Like a cheap belt, it’ll fall apart after a couple years depending on how hard you are on it. That said, it looks quite attractive and initial quality is quite high. The band has 9 holes, and my fairly medium/large wrist had 5 holes to spare. The hardware on this band is brushed metal, except for the edges of the lugs that are polished to blend with a stainless steel model. That unfortunately doesn't look great with the Apple Watch Ultra or aluminum models, but it’s a minor detail. The rest of the hardware (buckle), blends nicely with almost any of the watch materials so it’s an interesting detail. Overall, it’s a great entry level watch band for occasional use. I would definitely keep this for dress up evenings. It isn’t water resistant on the inside, so sweat, water, or other moisture will soak in. The outside is fairly durable, but again - it will eventually flake apart. As an occasional style band though, it’s affordable and attractive, so take a look!
