The harder I've case is the perfect size for most slim portable drives. The outside is very hard, the inside is has a soft lining with elastic straps to hold your drive securely in place. There is also ample room and a mesh net for cord storage. I, thank goodness, haven't dropped it so I can't speak of the level of protection it provides in that situation for delicate drives. It does provide good protection when carried in bags.

Very effective hardshelll case- sleek and easy to carry. Mesh net inside holds cable and can handle a memory cards for camera if needed. My backup drive has a secure place to be stored and easily, safely travelled w/it overseas.

Keeps the drive nice and shut so there is not a lot of moving around in the case. Organized storage for cables when zipped and traveling. Solid outer casing to protect your valuable drive. I'm buying one of these for ALL of my external drives!

I own a few of these cases. They provide more protection than the Western Digital cases. There is an elastic band that holds the drive in place along with a mesh pocket to hold the usb cable. The case easily holds a 1 or 2 TB portable hard drive. 4 TB hard drives are a little more snug. I do some traveling and like to take my laptop plus one (of two) backup hard drives. My new HD fits perfectly in this case...seems hard enough to offer some protection as well as storing the HD and the cord conveniently.

The case for the external hard drive is compact and great protection. There is a place to secure the hard drive and a netted area to hold the connecting cable. They hold up quite well. I have a case for each of my external hard drives.

This handy little external hard drive case was just the right fit for a craft project I am working on. "Wow!" I thought. The elastic in this case runs from top to bottom, as opposed to side to side, making an extra secure spot for the Hard Drive. This also allowed me to plot to expand the craft project. "Fantastic! I can go to my local Best Buy anytime I need to do one..." Then I find in one of my emails that, as is typical, an item I have found and love is going on clearance and going away. This still does not diminish the awesomeness of this lovely little case, it means I will be forced to use Amazon cases instead. I hope BB comes up with a replacement similar to this case. NOTE: The 'no' on recommendation is simply because this item is Clearanced.

Hard drive case always keep the hard drive protected from any type of damage. Has one pocket that you can put the cord into for the hard drive. Then it has a thing that goes around the hard drive to keep it in place.

This is a well designed, well made and easy to use protective case suitable for storing or transporting small external hard drives. It has a separate compartment for a USB cable and opens fully for easy access.

I bought this case for my Garmin 5 inch car gps and it fits perfectly but you cannot fit the 12 volt cord.it protects your 5 inch gps unit great!

Well made. Great fit for the backup drive. Has a nice pocket to store the cable. I would definitely by other case like this if I needed one!
