I can take it off the case and it works fine. Might be a thickness issue or the material is limiting conductivity. Not a problem in any other case though either.

Can be used as a vertical or horizontal stand. It also attaches firmly to the magsafe and charges perfectly. Very slim and has a soft touch surface.
