The 3-port HDMI switch by Insignia is the perfect device for attaching more HDMI sources, without the need of getting a receiver. The switch allows you to attach an extra 3 HDMI devices to a single source. It supports 4k @ 60hz, 3D, and 18gbps speeds. Everything you need to get started is included in the box…It includes the Switch, a 6ft power cord and plug, a remote control and 2 – 2 sided sticky tape strips to mount it to something, you can also mount the switch to a wall as it has built in mounting holes. Setting up the switch is very simple, it’s basically just plug and play. Once you have your devices connected, select the input with the included remote, or manually press the select button on the main unit. The switch does have auto source detection, which allows the switch to detect an active signal and select it, but for whatever reason they company has this feature turned off by default. To turn it on you just hold the select button for 3 seconds when the unit is off. The switch works just as expected, and with the auto signal detect, I no longer need to use the remote as much. You will be able to get audio as long as the TV/monitor you are connected to has built in speakers. While this device can pass through audio via HDMI, this is not to be confused as a matrix. In other words, this will not work if you’re trying to connect it to a sound bar. Overall, I am very happy with the Insignia 3-port HDMI switch. This has everything you need to get more sources to play on a device that has limited HDMI inputs. The quality is fantastic, and it works great. This Insignia HDMI 3 Port, 4K Switch is an updated version of a product that has been around for a few years. It allows up to three HDMI inputs (gaming consoles, streaming devices, laptops, phones, etc.) to be connected via one HDMI output (TV or Monitor). It supports up to 18 Gbps of data transfer, HDCP v2.2, and 4K 60Hz with HDR and 3D signals. This is a handy device to have for TV’s or monitors that only have one or two HDMI ports available because most people today have at least two or more devices they want to keep plugged into their TV for daily use. This HDMI switch supports 4K 60Hz HDR pass-through with 3D support. This means any streaming devices that have security encryption features will work without issues as long as the HDMI cable itself doesn’t hinder performance. The switch comes with a wireless remote which allows you to power on the device and toggle between the three different HDMI sources. One of the big upgrades to this device is the USB-C power connection compared to the older version which used Micro USB. Given USB-C is now a universal standard, it is a welcome change. It does not come with a power brick so you will have to source a USB-A power brick or use the USB port on the TV if it supplies enough to the device. Overall, it works very well and I did not encounter any issues with the devices I connected to the switch. Let's face it. Everyone has done it. We"ve saved up and held off to take our income tax money or wait for that Black friday sale to come through, just so we can get our hands on the perfect TV. And while we can find one just a couple isles over, you don't think about until it's far too late. Enter Insignia's 3-Port HDMI switch with remote, mind you. Now that's got to be the bonus you've been waiting for. I get to keep it in my master bedroom when my son is in my gaming room(We all know how men and kids can be with small electronics...Yes. I'm a man. that's how I know.). When he needs to switch from the "Switch" to PS5, or Xbox Series(PC has it's own life.), I just step to doorway and flick the switch. Before you ask, yes. You can manuelly switch HDMIs with the select button, but who really sits that close to their consoles like that anymore? The package comes with the box , the aforementioned remote, and a 6 ft' type C to A power cable. And it comes with its own power brick. I'm so happy about that little, yet lovely feature. It capable of 4K resolution @ 60HZ, so that should be more than good enough to enjoy your game time or even movie nights. As the first thing I did was connect this thing to my Projector. It looks gorgeous. Go ahead and put a couple of these things in your cart. As a gift or just simply future proofing your entertainment system, you'll thank yourself as soon as you do. A growing trend in newer televisions is that, since they include smart apps, the number of inputs on the TVs is decreasing. This is causing more and more limitations on what devices I can have connected at any given time. I admit I am guilty of being a bit of a hoarder when it comes to my gaming systems. Besides the newer generation, I like to keep the older generations so I can enjoy retro gaming in its full glory. This switch fits the bill! It’s compact, so it doesn’t take up much space in my setup. It’s 4K at 60 Hz, so all of my systems can run at full capacity even through the switch. It comes with a remote, but more importantly, it has auto-switching, which can be turned on or off. That was a big factor for me, as the placement I chose may not be best suited for using a remote. The build quality is sturdy. In-use functionality is very responsive, and I have yet to experience any hiccups or problems switching between sources. I have this switch connected directly to my Philips Hue Sync Box, and there have been no issues with recognition from system to system through the sync box to the TV. It’s a good, well-made switch that effectively adds the ports TVs may be removing. It’s quick to set up and does exactly what it needs to.

In the package, included the switch, AC adapter for USB-A/USB-C charging cable, a remote control, double sided tape, and quick guide Now having it on hand feels very light and easy to setup. It doesn’t require very tech savvy to use it. Used to hook up in a single tv with 2 streaming devices, Apple TV and Fire TV. Then switching between just using the remote control that corresponds to the switch. As per its spec, hooking to the pc and a 43inch monitor, then second connexion with a tablet. In this setting , changing the port from the switch itself as it is at the desk was practical. The switch support 3D capability as per the spec, but this aspect I couldn’t test. But in overall, it is practical accessory to have in hand moreover if constantly changing multiple streaming devices and gaming consoles and pc if using from the desk.

Best thing since sliced bread was first ever toasted with jam. My monitor has two HDMI ports, but to switch back and forth requires a couple button clicks, but it doesn’t always seem to register. Adding a switch was a no brainer to make it easier. I don’t have need yet for the 3rd port, but its nice to have the option. The Input LEDs and the IR port are on the front and the HDMI Ports and Power Port are on the back. Having the remote is a great feature for a TV situation so that you don’t have to get up and hit the button. It is IR so you have to have line of sight. For my purpose it is quicker to just hit the select button on the switch itself. My monitor is a 34” 1080p 21:9 and there are no issues with the source. The switch is rated up to 4K HDR 60Hz. In the box was the switch, remote, and a 5v/1amp USB Power brick with a 6 foot USB-A to USB-C cable, and two double-sided rubber strips to mount to a surface. I guess depending on your setup that could be useful, but again the IR requires line of sight. I had considered mounting on the back of my monitor, but then learned how the remote worked. The device is extremely light, so putting on the underside of a table or shelf, etc could be an option for a clean cable management setup.

It's compact, reliable and easy to use. Highly recommended if you have several devices to connect to one monitor.

Works great. Perfect to switch from tv to laptop to desktop

Prior to getting this device, I had to unplug my HDMI cable from the TV cable box to my laptop every time we needed to use it. Now life is like a dream. All we have to do is just use the remote control on whether we need the TV on the screen or the laptop for other thinks like watching a movie on YouTube.

I think this product is great, it’s a fast charging portable charger. Not too big and it fits inside my bag.

For home use it helps to save space by using it with 1 monitor for 2 PC computers.

It’s simple to use, works well, and includes a remote for convenience. Initial impression. The switch is light and quite small. It comes with a charging cable, plug adapter, switch, and remote. Considering the size, undermount screw holes, and double-sided tape, you can install this box inconspicuously anywhere, especially since it comes with a remote so you can operate the switch from anywhere. From example, you can mount this behind a TV, under a small table, etc. Switch operation. The single button operation is as easy as it gets: keep pressing to toggle through inputs 1, 2, and 3. After some time, the LEDs turn off, but you can turn them on again when pressing the select button. I like that the button has a strong tactile action and sound. The remote is small and thin with buttons that also have nice tactile feedback. Use case. We were quite excited to hook this up to our projector because one of the three HDMI ports no longer works and one of the HDMI ports is routed to the sound system, so we really don’t have enough ports to connect cable TV and the streaming stick. We have been swapping the cable TV HDMI and streaming stick in the one good HDMI port, causing additional wear and tear. This switch allows us to connect cable TV, the streaming stick, and now a gaming console. With this setup, we can easily switch between the three inputs, while keeping the sound system connected to the projector.
