Bought this for my Canon 55-250mm lens and it fit perfect.It also was cheaper than Canon's.BestBuy had it in stock so I didn't have to wait for mail delivery from Canon.

It's a piece of plastic that serves to block some periphery lights. Not much more to it. If you don't mind it being plastic, you can't go wrong with this. If you want something to bang around, maybe a metal one is more appropriate. Of course, you will likely have to pay more, too. Life's full of choices, it's a good thing!

Fits my Canon 55-250 STM lens perfectly. It has an embedded twist on thread to secure it to the lens in either the outward picture taking position or turned around over the lens for storage. Great option to Canon's pricey stuff. The lens cap can still be attached when using the hood.

I love canon lenses, but the fact that they dont throw in a lens hood, AND charge stupid money for one? Enter insignia. I love your products. All of them. better than the original for less than half the price!

I am still a beginner when it comes to photography, but I take a ton of photos outside and figured I should pick up a lens hood for those extra sunny days. This one works quite well for the lens specified, the 55-250STM zoom lens. However if you want to use it with a shorter kit lens, you'll probably have to zoom out a bit to avoid a dark circle around your photos. The lens hood is a little tricky to thread and unthread, but stays on nicely. Definitely excited to add this to my camera bag.

Haven't used it yet, but it fit easily on my longer (75-300mm) Canon lens. It did not fit on my shorter (18-55mm lens), which would have been nice. It's not a super-tight fit - may easily get knocked off in use, but for the sale price - well worth having as an option.

Great hood for the price. I got an open box deal that was amazing. I didn't need it but could not pass up the offer. If you are looking for a lens hood for your model camera I would recommend you try Insignia.

Not a great fit to the camera as described, but the best value for money, wont complain for the price point I got it, got it in a clearance sale

I bought this in a bundle and I am very glad I did, snaps on and off easily and is reversible and it also makes you look like a professional which is a nice added bonus.

I did not get to use this device because it was the wrong size for my camera, i am just learning photography and purchased this item based on the dimensions of the lens not the outside of the lens cover, etc.

It's my first lens hood. I decided to give this one a try before investing in a better one. It works just fine. Great buy for the price and perfect for a beginner.

I think it’s great but sometimes you can catch a bit of it in your lens but it all depends as well the look of what your going for... for the most part it’s cool

Thought I would pick this lens hood up for my Lens. Should help out when its sunny out or if there is a slight sprinkle in the air.

I am not a professional photographer but do love taking pictures and like this lens hood it really seems to help with glare from light or sun on the lens.

it does what it's supposed to do would be better if it fit tighter on the lens

I paid a very cheap price for it and it seems to be a good product, unfortunately it isn’t the right size for any of my lenses :(

I was a little apprehensive about buying non-Canon accessories after reading reviews about other hoods not fitting or being loose, but I decided to purchase this one since it's about half the price of Canon's hood. It fits perfect. It quickly screws on, and it's reversible, so you just put it on your lens backwards, and store your lens like normal. No extra space taken up in your bag. As far as quality goes, I read other reviews about the plastic being flimsy on other hoods. This one is definitely sturdy enough. It needs to block light, not withstand being run over by a truck.

Great purchase that keeps your lens protected from getting scratched or other stuff like rain, blowing debris, or just keeping the sun rays out of your pic.
