Works perfectly! Had a PC suddenly die on me but I was able to get the data off and have a convenient tool.

The good: Worked like a charm to clone a 128 GB Kingston NVMe out of an Asus laptop to a 256 GB Silicon Power NVMe. Used Macrium to clone and AOMEI Partition Assistant to move partitions around to extend the C drive volume. The bad: The fastener design is not great and prone to breakage (you can see the white line of weakened plastic after one use). I much prefer the rubber design in the UGREEN version I have from Amazon.

This was a good enclosure. It fit perfectly with my Lenovo Legion Core I7 10th Generation laptop SSD. The USB fits easily plug into various computer and laptop ports. My files come off of it smoothly just remember to eject it from the computer first whenever you are finished using it.

i'm really happy to see this and jumped immediately to buy this ,, since i not seen anything like this months before .. when i was looking for way to create backups with m.2 .. and this thing was just plug it in and you are working and is perfect ... though $20 is not a sale price ,, it is a lot cheeper than anything else out there .. since m.2 came out ,, everything for it is really expensive and priced ludicrously high ... and i do not care about performance and do not keep it connected constantly .. but use when i want to do backup .. or other things . . i like to thank other reviewers that warn about the plastic tab to hold the m.2 in .. everyone should look at their pictures and reviews to be careful with it .. i also added a photo to show where it is .. thus be very careful to remove it,, warning ,, do not grab it on end of tab but only on the center of it to twist off .. i bet if you break it ,, you could just get a tiny screw and just use that to work by forcing a screw to thread into plastic and that would be a better solution too .. use your common sense .. if you do try it

I do data transfers with M.2s daily at the office due to either data recovery or system upgrades. The design of the M.2 reader makes it easier to quickly swap out the drives between uses. A lot better than the other M.2 readers sold elsewhere.

It does what it's sposed to do, and does it pretty well. Fits the Samsung EVO and Pro line of hard drives just fine, I've used it with a 970 Evo and 980/990 Pros, I currently keep a 1tb 980 pro in it and use as an external hard drive for gaming.

I used this case to upgrade the SSD in my laptop. The case is mostly metal with some plastic, but constructed well. It has ventilation on both sides, and takes a USB-C transfer cable, provided with the purchase. The SSD card was easily installed and held secured in place with a plastic tab. It has solid pin connections and the upgrade went well. I have other removable storage, so I haven't used this other than for the upgrade, but it could easily turn your M.2 SSD card into portable storage, and would be well protected.

It's great, compact, has plenty of vents to help with overheating. And the tool less open and close is beyond convenient. Could not be happier.

Perfect to use and served me to upgrade my Dell storage memory, required to clone my original ssd hard drive. I took me no time to use with clear instructions

This little beauty works perfectly. It is a piece of cake to assemble. My wife was able to retrieve all her documents and now she has an external drive! Highly recommended! A+++

I have been looking for something to replace my hdd due to the fail rate of ones I've had in the past. This is a great option! I use it with Samsung 990 evo 1tb ssd. The shell is metal and securely clicks closed once you install your ssd. I'm sure many know this but just like when installing on a motherboard be sure to properly insert the ssd. I didn't at first and it would not let me initialize the drive. But other than that great small portable option to have.

Recently, I got the 2TB Samsung 980 Pro PCIe4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD and needed an enclosure that I can safely use my SSD to connect to my Book2 Pro. I never had an issue with any of the Insignia products and like their solid build. Searched Bestbuy for the enclosure and came across this product (was on sale I guess). Wish it would be compatible with M.2 SATA but (since I had a few at home) was not. No problem! The device looks great! It's a quality product and supports up to 2TB SSDs. Getting the SSD inside the enclosure is straightforward. You can not go wrong. Unfortunately, my new galaxy book2 pro did not read it. I restarted the computer unplugged the enclosure etc but no luck. Maybe it was a faulty product and it was the last one at my store so I couldn't check for another one. Read a lot of reviews with high success so I believe it was just my luck. Returned

So technically you're supposed to have a maximum 2TB M.2 SSD, but I verified that my 4TB WD SN850X works fine. I have all my Steam games installed and it works great. I've been playing Remnant II with no issues. I haven't really checked the heat radiation, but if it gets too hot I'll just open the case and use a small fan for cooling. I'm playing on a 2023 Razer Blade 16 with i9, RTX4090, and 64GB DDR5 5600MHz RAM. So far so good!
