Replaced VGA Connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an old USB to VGA adapter on my Surface Pro before I bought the Surface Dock with mini-DP. Everything was working fine until a couple weeks ago. Since I couldn't resolve the hardware issue, I needed to buy another or go digital. Since my monitor on had VGA or HDMI, but the Surface Dock only has mini-DP, I needed an adapter. No drivers needed, this adapter just works!

He can pull his camera cards and instantly download all of his pictures from his cameras and transfer straight to his iPad. He can then place his cards straight back to his cameras saving so much time. This has been one of the favorite tools that my husband has. Great purchase!

Essential Device For Using Laptops With Monitors

My old laptop had an HDMI output for the monitor, but MS laptops use a mini Display Port output. This device has an HDMI input for the monitor and a mini DispayPort style output for the laptop or the MS Docking Station (which is what I use). I couldn't use a monitor with my laptop without this device.

Quick, Easy and half the cost of Apple

I found this adapter with the assistance of one fo the store folks and tried it out. Works great! Easy, no drivers or software, just plug and go. And it was less than the apple version..

Exactly What I Needed

This adapter works great and allows me to run an extended monitor (not just a mirror monitor). Basically no setup except for an update that needed to be run.
