This Insignia - Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI Adapter works well and was a simple plug and play solution for viewing video from my Mac on a variety of monitors or TV's.

This adapter was perfect to connect my Surface book and monitor, taking up a minimum of space

I had an old USB to VGA adapter on my Surface Pro before I bought the Surface Dock with mini-DP. Everything was working fine until a couple weeks ago. Since I couldn't resolve the hardware issue, I needed to buy another or go digital. Since my monitor on had VGA or HDMI, but the Surface Dock only has mini-DP, I needed an adapter. No drivers needed, this adapter just works!

Does the job very well. Had no issues with the product at all, and no need to return. I used it primarily to connect my surface pro to my TV and/or projector

I recently purchased a Microsoft laptop that I wanted to use with a 27" monitor. My old laptop had an HDMI output for the monitor, but MS laptops use a mini Display Port output. This device has an HDMI input for the monitor and a mini DispayPort style output for the laptop or the MS Docking Station (which is what I use). I couldn't use a monitor with my laptop without this device.

My husband has cameras all over his and. He can pull his camera cards and instantly download all of his pictures from his cameras and transfer straight to his iPad. He can then place his cards straight back to his cameras saving so much time. This has been one of the favorite tools that my husband has. Great purchase!

I know, I know, everything Apple has an extra cost just because, but that does not mean you have to pay it. I found this adapter with the assistance of one fo the store folks and tried it out. Works great! Easy, no drivers or software, just plug and go. And it was less than the apple version..
