There's only one full-size USB port on the PC, and it's in use. The Insignia adapter uses a mini-USB port which solves the problem. Works great, every time..

excellent if you get one that works

The first one works great and has been going strong for almost a year now, the "new" one or second one stop working after a week, so if you get one that works it's totally worth the 25 bucks.

It has been working fine with no issues. Using it to connect a Microsoft Surface Book to a 27" monitor. Has worked flawlessly at this point. This is plug and play, no drivers or other software needed.
