I bought this with no experience in this type of product. It seemed like a good thing and with 20 hr charge made it a great thing to charge my iPhone and iPad. I bought it mainly for increasing the sound from my devices. Mostly for increasing the sound level from a speaker talking and not really for music. But then a few days later I came across an oontz speaker. For about the same price, it had much better sound. I decided to return this one and bought an oontz and spent an extra $10 for a 14w speaker. It doesn’t have the feature for charging other devices. But that is ok since that was not my purpose in buying it. And music on the oontz was so much better and even more better from upgrading it. I saw so many reviews that said they wished they would have upgraded originally so that’s what I decided to do.

I bought this for my son because it was a good price. He tried it and it produces a good sound. Quality and Range of sound is just ok. However when he connected it via bluetooth it only has about a 10 foot range, so if you drag your phone across the room your sound starts to break up. So for us the range was horrible.

The sound isn't too bad but the Bluetooth connectivity is kind of weak. It cuts out sometimes just when trying to change a song. Battery life is pretty good though.

The quality of sound and the volume are good but the Bluetooth distance is terrible! You have to have your device within a few feet for it to work properly

I purchased this speaker because I wanted a cheap bluetooth speaker to bring to the beach. It works fine, and the capability to charge other devices is nifty as well. When in enclosed rooms however, the sound quality is not the most appealing. This is definitely perfect for beaches or pool parties!

Great battery life but for its packet it’s much bigger than it actually sounds i thought that it would be a lot louder but I wish on these packages they’d go back to putting how many watts these things are so you don’t waste your money on them

I read the reviews before I made the purchase. Based on them I figured this would be a good buy. I was wrong. Pairing the device was easy. The sound quality was horrible. The sound was at about 30% up on my phone and the speaker was cracking.

Not great, but ok option. I really like the design and portability. The outside rubber strip is a nice component for durability and style. Unfortunately, I just don't think the sound is great so I'll return it. Bluetooth worked great though.

I don’t usually write reviews-but this was just weird. I love Best Buy so I am shocked. Opening the box that arrived ready to wrap my daughters birthday present, the box that the speaker came in was in horrible condition! It looked like a bunch of labels had been very badly torn off then (still) carelessly sent on it’s way! To make the whole package even better the speaker is terrible!! The sound quality is better on my phone! Seriously? I didn’t expect much from the price, but from Insignia and Best Buy I expected much better. At the very least least a good to decent sound! Bummer. I wish I had taken a photo of the package!—if I were giving this as a gift under different circumstances I’d be very embarrassed!

This speaker does what it says, but it definitely doesn't do it well. You get what you pay for man, so awww don't expect quality sound or ahh volume out of this most modestly priced receptacle. The Dude ended up returning it and exchanging it for a nicer rug..i mean speaker. You can skip that step, by reading The Dude's review and and and uhh not buying this one uhhh in the first place, ya know? Music is not of those areas you want to go cheap on - V. I. Lenin

Sound is good only at low levels. Tends to distort at higher volume.

It works buy is cheap and a Insignia so you get what you pay for. It has a lot of distortion when you turn the volume up. I also have a Sony SRS X5 and it has spoiled me. The Insignia is good for kids. With the Insignia you cannot charge you phone through Insignia's USB port and play music because the physical switch does not have that option.

So I read some reviews and figure let me give this item a try since the price was so low, well when I got home and turn the volume all the way up, there it was for me <return> If you need it just a bit of sound nothing crazy it might be for you, if you looking some clear bass then do what I did at the end and spend another $70

I use this to listen to music I have stored on my phone. If my phone is directly next to the speaker there are no issues. If the phone is 10 feet away the speaker will beep every time it syncs up with the phone. It drastically reduces the pleasure of my listening experience. I like that this is splash proof, as I listen to music when I am in the spa/hot tub. The colour is very bright and not really to my liking, but for being on clearance at half price I was willing to settle. The sound of the speaker is good enough for being heard over the noise of the spa jets, but I wouldn't say it was a high quality speaker experience. I would not recommend this speaker as a high quality speaker experience. I would recommend it as a just need a speaker right now speaker.

Average sound output, easy to use. Volume could not max out.

I read all of the reviews and thought this speaker was a great value. But once I connected it to my phone and tried listening to music, the speaker kept cutting out. I paired it again with my phone, and had the same trouble. Returned it for a Bose speaker and have not had a single problem.

I can't recommend this speaker because for $50 you can get so many more portable speakers with more powerful sound, the camo color is beautiful which is why I give it two stars. BELIEVE ME add a few more bucks and get something bigger and more powerful sounding.

its a decent Bluetooth speaker for the price but, the Bluetooth range for me was too short. I did like the skip and backward buttons on the speaker and the battery life.
