I bought this Bluetooth speaker based on the reviews. The initial charge to my pc took a couple of hours. A usb cord is included, but a wall adapter is not. My windows phone paired instantly with the device named NS-SPBTBRICK. I downloaded a free mp3 music player on my phone and I was on my way. You can control the volume from your phone which is great. For a small speaker this has great sound. On my patio when playing, people cannot believe the sound quality. When I receive a text, a message plays over my speaker alerting me. I am not sure if all phones can do this. I have not tried IPod or IPhone sync yet, but I'm sure it will perform the same. An added plus is that you can charge your phone from this device. I have been using speaker for about 3 days, and charge is still good. I would rate this 4 1/2 *.

I purchased this small speaker to use at work to play streaming music from my smartphone. Having a standard USB charging port made it even more attractive, since I could easily keep it charged from the multi-port station on my desk. I found that getting into the plastic box it comes in was the most difficult thing about set-up. It was virtually a "vacuum fit" and I was just about to use a hammer when the vacuum released and I got to the speaker inside. It comes with a charging cord and very thorough instructions. It sounds great and is capable of really LOUD volume without significant distortion. I can't play it that way in my office environment, though! The only thing that kept me from giving this little gem a 5-star rating is that the controls on the top of the speaker are all black-on-black and not easily used without some practice to learn which control is which. The controls and inputs on the back are clearly marked, however, so that's a real benefit!

Needed a Bluetooth speaker to use in the bathroom while I shower in the morning so that I could hear traffic before I leave. Please note: it sits on the counter, it is not waterproof. Great volume, clarity, and battery life. The price point was perfect and the quality is great! We bought two more for our kids in college.

I love this little speaker! Small in size but packs a big punch! I can take it to my friend's house, school, or work and it's so convenient! I really bought it for my house because I was low on money and my old sound system didn't have an AUX cord plug or Bluetooth! It was ancient! I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

The speaker can get really loud and contains a lot of base too. It feels extremely durable and is made with rubber so it won’t break if you drop it. Overall the sound quality is good and the build quality is excellent! I really like Insignia products now!

For a small speaker, this one really puts out a great sound. The bass is not super strong but I new that going in. Fairly loud too. I bought this to use in a remodel project and it is loud enough to hear across the house. (We set it in the middle room) Easy paring to both phones and my Samsung tablet.

I love this speaker, My mini jawbone (1st gen) went out and I needed a quick and cheap replacement. This insignia portable speaker was the perfect replacement, sound is very good and it's pretty loud, battery life is pretty good too I use it for about 2-3hrs a day and the charge lasts me 3 1/2 days

Good reliable Bluetooth speaker, 40 hour power bank, great bang for the buck. Bought this for my granddaughter. She can charge her phone, listen to her music, she loves it. I bought one for myself. Would recommend to anyone interested in a Bluetooth speaker at a reasonable price.

Great speaker for the price! I have a Sony blue tooth speaker that cost much more and this speaker sounds just about as good. If your looking for a little more bass, you would probably want to look at some of the more expensive ones. Otherwise it has a great sound and quality and the battery life is great!

I have been playing this speaker for many days and it is just what I was looking for. Its as portable as they come and the sound is quite good. The time between charges is days of use for me. I am very satisfied with this Insignia speaker.

The baterally life is ridiculous compared to their other models they have. Also, has a built in “power bank” which is basically a built in battery pack so u can charge ur phone and other electronics by connecting it to the USB port. Great little speaker for the money!

I bought these and regular ones with no power bank. This one is 1 lb heavier but up to 40 hours playback and built in powerbank. Perfect for bedroom use. It comes with micro USB cable so make sure to get Lightning Cables for Apple products and USB C for newer devices

Battery life seems to be a real winner! Made it through 2 - 10 hour shifts after an overnight charge. My old speaker would only go about 4-5 hours. I mainly listen to podcasts and talk radio so I'm assuming the battery will last longer for me than most. Sound quality is perfectly acceptable for what I'm using it for. Sounds decent when I have listened to music a couple times. The rear woofers keep the sound from the front speakers from getting distorted which was one of the reasons I'm replacing my old speaker. Haven't tested the onboard charger as I have a separate 10,000mah portable battery for my phone. Build quality is very good. I like the removable rubber exterior. Looks like it will withstand drops fairly well and it can be disassembled by taking the rubber off and unscrewing the grills so I can clean them out if necessary. I bought it for under $20 w/the bundled gift card and it is 100% worth that. Very pleased

This speaker produces great sound for the size and price. It's small enough to put on the bookshelf in my office and doesn't stand out. I keep volume low for background music often, and it fills the room even at low volume. Also worked well for slide show sound in large meeting room. Most important, I can crank the volume up and it still sounds great. On a side note: also works great in older car (using with phone), the rubber like cover keeps it from sliding on the dash or seat, awesome sound in small space and long lasting charge means no wires for long trips.

I bought this speaker on a wim when it was on sale. My laptop has a horrible sound system, so wanted to have an external speaker. Sound is pretty great (considering the price!) Also has been my car speaker since my auxiliary port broke. Sound is loud, beats are clear.

Great battery life, sound loud rich but bass can distort if turned up too high. Silicone outside attracts dust/lint easy. Two speakers in the front, two small bass radiators in the back, and a large battery pack for charging phone/USB devices.

Best speaker for the price and sound is great, a good product for the price compared to some of the more expensive brands. Has the option to use the battery as a backup for other equipment. I compared it against other products and for the price, it can't be beat.

This speaker works better than I expected, especially for the price. Excellent sound quality, easy to use, and it's tough to beat the price. It also doubles as a portable charger. Some may not like the Bluetooth range, but that doesn'the keep me from giving it 5 stars

Bought this as a gift for a family member. At the time it was on clearance at $20.00. Its been one of the best purchases Ive made at this price point. Long battery life, loud clear speakers, and able to charge any phone from it. Highly recommend purchasing one.
