    Functionally this is a great portable DVD player and performs as advertised. I was disappointed in the cosmetic quality of the unit. I would rate this as "used" not "refurbished". The case looks like it has been kicked around the room and looks like something you would buy at a garage sale. Don't know if this is representative of all "refurbished" products. Still for the price I can live with it but would think twice about purchasing a " refurbished" product again.

    Bought one of these when Best Buy first started carrying them and it would not play a DVD right out of the box. Exchanged it and the replacement worked....for a time. Used it about 10 times and suprise....it will not read a DVD. These were both NEW units, not refurbished. Guess what unit you are getting? The ones the rest of us returned. Run away from these!!!
