Protects the remote from dirt and scratches. That's about it. Very thin material. Bright color makes it easier to find.

It fits great and looks really nice. However, the other day, I had to take it off in order to replace the batteries. What a struggle it was too take it off! I basically had to peel it back onto itself and I was worried that it would break where the rubber is thin around the buttons. Fortunately, it didn't break but not pleasant to do. It's definitely easier to put it on than to take it off. For this reason, I took one star away out of five. I still recommend it.

Purchased two of these for our newer Roku remotes (this version of the cover doesn't fit the older, original remotes). They fit well, and allow all functions to work properly with the cover installed. Only trouble with installing the cover was that it was a very tight fit, so it needed to be pulled on little-by-little. Other than that, they seem pretty rugged and will hopefully give us years of protection for our Roku remotes.

Yes, this holds that back on your remote. The one that has the little clip or tip on the battery compartment that breaks so easily. I thought we just had a bad one (remote), and saw this cover and it hit me. I checked reviews and surely, tons of people had same prob and this fixed it. Just match the buttons and it should work. I had to cut a couple of my holes a tiny bit with a scissors for a perfect fit and it worked fine.

Makes the remote have a better grip, and has added bonus of being easier to see over a black remote.

You would think that this is just a cosmetic enhancement but it actually prevents the battery cover from flying off when my grandkids drop the remote! It can get expensive to keep buying new ones when they break the little tab off. I should say that they don't do it on purpose, they just dance around too much and sometimes the remote goes flying!

I got this free with my Roku purchase. Quality is OK. It will help keep dust and debris off of the surface of the remote, but it will collect on this cover instead. It did help give me a more positive grip, as this cover has a non-slip tecture. The color would not be my first choice, but it was free.
